I feel like a broken record if you can't stop the run and you can't run the ball you are going to fail.

It's a golden rule of football.

We are stuck in groundhog Day the front office continues in the same vein and we continue to fail in the same way.

If we get ahead we use the pass rush or strength and blow teams out.

If teams are smart enough to punch Us in the mouth and run the ball we get blown out.

Am I missing something or didn't we watch this all play out last year.

I forgot how many tight ends we had when we drafted spoon maker but wouldn't it have been nice to have drafted a running back who may have sparked a running game for a defensive tackle that may have been able to stop the other teams.

This will be the same up and down roller coaster ride as last year and there is no fix in sight

You’re not wrong.

The truth is. The cowboys are in the middle of rebuilding the offensive line and it’s not done yet because Martin is going to be retiring soon. A lot of young talent but this ain’t the 2016 line. Far from it.

They also have trash at RB.

Our DT group may legit be one of the worst in The league. It’s that bad.

Yep it's really tough to win this way you kind of have to have the perfect storm and get up some points on a team quick and force them to throw so we can play to our strength .
Otherwise if our opponent decides to play smash mouth football and bang the running game down our throat we are in a world of trouble

The Cowboys need to change their team name to The Paycheck Collectors. I've said for years that they lack that blue collar attitude. These guys are a bunch of entitled primadonnas. Today l saw a team that didn't even want to be on the field. Absolutely shameful.

100%. This also presents problems when the playoffs are played in the coldest month of the year.

Players salaries are artificially capped so owners can make more money, we just have an owner that f-ing sucks at building a roster, thirty freaking years later and we still blame the exact wrong people while propping up those that have failed us over and over.

There's a reason why Dallas scrambled to sign those DTs during camp. Bottom tier RB group and dead last DT group. Can't run and can't stop the run. Not a good combination.
Definitely not makes us a one-trick pony depending on jumping out ahead of bad teams and beating enough bad teams to make it to the tournament a risky proposition at best and one that eventually leads to embarrassing failure when everyone else is good

It won't change until Jerry dies and Stephen sells.

It seems like as soon as the team starts to run on them they just look like they don't want to be there.

It's almost like that commercial want to get away.

Yeah it's like geez is 36-year-old Linville Joseph our free agent splash that's going to take us to the promised land.
It's like come on Jerry we're not asking you to break the bank but can you throw us a bone.

Agreed games in Green Bay or Philly make me cringe we are just not a cold weather team in any way shape or form

Derrick Henry is much better than any RB we have on the team.

But hey. If the cowboys signed him, they would only have 21 million cap space instead of 25 million.

Just wasn’t enough pie to go around.

Yep somehow we couldn't pull that off but the eagles managed to get saquon Barkley while we sat on our hands

I'm watching Barkley absolutely annihilate the falcons and wishing we had got him maybe we would have some sort of a better running game

I think the Dallas defense is built to play with a lead, forcing teams to be one-dimensional and thus being able to pin their ears back and play the passing game; they are not equipped to defend against run heavy teams and they are slow to make adjustments; it seems that opposing coaches are not having a difficult time in scheming against us and negating Dallas’ strengths…the Saints certainly had no issues negating Parsons and was able to maintained a balanced attack, effectively negating the pass rush.

and it will continue.
We all knew hiring elliot back was a mistake, that was done to please jerry and dak, they both wanted him back.
There are other issues with out run game though, blocking schemes, play design, play calling, all that matters. It is not just the RB's.

As for teams running on them there are more issues than just a DT. NO was running to the edges, right and left that has nothing to do
with DT play.
It all comes down to the coaches we have from HC on down.

parsons said zimmers scheme is good, the players just ALL played bad lol. How is that possible why would they all play bad?
Doesnt make sense. They probably thought after beating cleveland that they were great and just need to show up and play to win
no effort or planning, or innovations required ??
There are many things wrong with the cowboys lol.

Jerry already said it would be fixed !! lol So the great one, best GM in the world has spoken so no worries ! lol
