on his 1st play romo threw an INT - can someone elaborate on that? did glenn run the wrong route, bad throw? combo?

hard to review glenns performance on a day our entire offense was waiting to be plugged in so we could vibrate around, but if TO is still out of our 1st playoff game, we could be in for some issues.

what i saw of glenn, he just looked like he's not played all year. not sure how the leg hit he took hurt him - any news on that? if he took that and is ok then hopefully that's a good sign for the knee.

To me it looked like Glenn slowed up on the rout and the CB beat him to the spot.

You can't tell anything, quite frankly, from yesterdays game and the amount of time he played. As for his injury - I heard somewhere (prolly here) that he was ok.

seems to be the theme. kinda to be expected as you work you way back. but this is why i only feel he'll be a help more than a hinderance *only if* he got valid game time back before we hit the playoffs. not sure i'd call yesterday valid, but at least he got out there.

I think that slant works a lot better with a big, physical receiver like Owens or Michael Irvin. It's not Glenn's best route and you could certainly tell.

What was Landry doing rolling into his knees like that on the other play? Anyone think that was intentional, or was it an accident?

I will upload that play in a little while.

Romo forced that play though.

cool. it was just such a huge topic going in, i'd like to get some opinions (hopefully w/o the YOU'RE STUPID!" commentary) on how he did and if he's made enough progress to help in the 1st playoff game. we're gonna need him.

that looked quite accidental to me, but yes, a viscious hit and given glenns condition, cause for concern.

I think Glenn in spot duty role can help Dallas. Yesterday as you mentioned the conditions were poor and not exactly the type of footing you would hope for to come back from an injury. Dallas at least has the luxury of having 2 weeks to get themselves and Glenn ready to go.

It was incidental. Landry was trying to make a play slid 5 yards on a wet field with his head down. Hardly a dirty play.

I agree. I think Landry did not intentionally go for the knee it looked more as if he slipped and slid into Glenn.

At first, I thought Landry's play was a cheap shot until I watched the replay.

In slow motion you can see him bending down and extending his hands to try and make the INT and then he slides out of bounds and into Glenn. After looking at it, I really don't believe he was trying to take Glenn's knees out.

yea, the one game we get him back to "test him out" and just about everything was against it. 2 weeks is good and all, but he needs game time. spot duty is likely all we can hope for. that and TO coming back ready to play.

I said this before, I think the Commanders had motive to ensue injury. Back to back games, with-in a short window of time, at a critical time going into the play-offs. It just seemed too likely. They know we were banged up, and saw opportunities to take advantage of the moment. Glenn was a perfect example.

I think if we had other guys on the field who were recovering, we would have seen more examples of it. The Commanders play dirty. They always have.

I have been saying for a while given the time he has missed the best we could hope for will be spot duty. He is not going to be in full game shape and is not going to have the endurance to play a lot of snaps but rotating in and out with Hurd I think is quite likely.

yea, i say that and 'the beautiful posters' get all uppity.

:)

It looked to me that T. Glenn slowed up right before the ball got to him and thats when Springs jumped the route. He'll need time and reps thats all. As fars as the Landry dirty play. I don't believe he intentionally went for his knees like others were saying he was trying to make a play and then slid into him.

I wish he got more playtime too. I've been very nervous about him starting in the playoffs. I still think he is worth playing, unless you want Hurd as our #1 Receiver if TO needs an extra week.

ready or not, he pretty much has to play. w/crayton as a #1 we're toast.
