The return of the fullback?

Position flex is key for the FBs unless they are the few that are elite. Saw on some of the clips he was a TE. But at his size in the pros not sure if he can pull it off.

Dallas under McCarthy seems to bring one at least to camp. Last year was Nall and the truck pulling one, but Nall got injured and they cut the other one early on.

With McKeon being the new TE/H-back, it would be hard for a pure FB to win a spot unless he is a really good blocker/could offer some skill out of the backfield.
Nick Ralston. I liked his story. They should bring him back for camp. Use him in the short yardage scrum the Eagles like to run.

FB is a useless position in the NFL, especially when you have a player like Hendershot who can flex at H-back.
..yep, TE's have basically taken that job. Plus some are faster, then add height ability as ball receiver. It's a win, win.

Nick Ralston, Ryan Nall, now this guy. I think McCarthy is trying to find the next John Kuhn. Unless this guy is it, I think the Cowboys are better off with their 3 WR or 2 TE sets over a fullback.

I'm surprised there aren't more reserve LBs playing FB. The Cowboys, themselves, have had a few players do it. Robert Thomas from back in the day and Keith Smith come to mind.

Oliver Hoyte was one too I think.

nah bring back a FB and more under center snaps..it #1 in improving this run game, was so easy for most defenses to see when a run was coming in Moores offense. zeke ha dot be his own FB and take those hit behind the LOS and in the hole..

Yeah, I've never understood why they thought it was cool to trot a guard out there as a fullback. The fullback should be a threat to get the ball too. Nobody was afraid of McGovern breaking away and hurdling people. They should look for the best athlete at 6'2 255 and send it 30 times a game. And 5 of those are carries by the fullback...
