You're the one asking for facts, yet it's you that have none. We are just pointing that FACT out.

You said the story is true, we said there is no proof of that. If it's true. Prove it. Oh that's right. You can't because YOU have no facts.

Have you ever taken a logic reasoning test? You should take one, then use that score to determine whether your case holds water.

Except I have historians on my side, there is already enough evidence out there that it DID happen. It is not UP TO YOU to counter the evidence.

I am waiting.

Umm, no you don't. The dude got attacked by a bear. That is all that is known. There is no real record of even how bad the attack actually was. i.e., you don't have ****.

I'm willing to debate with someone who keeps an open mind and has deductive reasoning ability, but clearly you have neither one of those traits.

This and any other debates with you are over. /blocked

I liked the movie. Not sure Leo will get a nomination for it, but it was an enjoyable movie nonetheless.

When Movies start becoming our visual reference for what actually happened (our commercial driven history books).....
We have a problem....

Grossing 100 million as a goal is going to cause more embellishment on a story, not less.

Promotional copy has leaked online. So, if anyone wants to forget about the loss tonight, I'm sure you guys know where to go to find leaked films.

Time to see if Leo deserves an Oscar this year or not.

Hope this doesn't come off preachy, but considering how much people whine about remakes and sequels, I think it's in everyone's best interest that cares about original films to really consider paying to see this one.

Especially since it's a western, aren't many of those being made these days of much quality.

I respect this, I support cinema a ton, specifically foreign and indies....

but hollywood overcharges and rehashes..... can't blame folks for not.

If the theaters were full of Cohen Brothers, & Rodrigo Prieto's, or Burtolucci's, & Cronenberg's, more people would support cinema ... but in hollywood its all demographics, ad placements, & LCD.... imo

But yes, support "The Revenant" if possible... Alejandro Inarritu has given us some pretty interesting films, and I hope he continues.

Side Note... RIP Haskell Wexler, one of the greatest cinematographers in cinema history....

I wouldn't call it a western, but you bring up a good point.

He's been nominated for What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, and The Wolf of Wall Street. He went through that hearth throb time in the late 90s, nothing of which I considered roles deserving of an Oscar. I was never too impressed with his role in The Aviator, it was on par with the other nominees of that year. The role I believe he should have won for was his role in The Departed, i loved his performance. I wouldn't have mind seeing him win for The Wolf of Wall Street, but my goodness, that was a great year for nominees. It was so good that Tom Hanks' Captain Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix's character in Her was snubbed.

From the predictions, it will be DiCaprio, Redmayne, Fassbender, and most likely Smith being nominated for best actor. Personally, from the roles I've seen, DiCaprio deserves his first Oscar win. But I think we all know Redmayne will be taking home the Oscar due to politics and media drive. The fact Redmayne won last year over Keaton should be labeled a crime.

Haven't seen any of them other than The Hawking movie, and it's going to be tough to beat Redmayne in that one. He's outstanding in it, politics and media drive aside. But, I don't know the history of the academy going back to back.

Strong Film. Great symbolism, many layers, brilliant photography by Emanuel Lubeuski.

Revenge in the creators hands...

I have no doubt the real Glass's encounter with the grizzly didn't happen the way it did in the movie, and I don't care. That scene was absolutely freaking amazing.

heck, he didn't even son, and that made the revenge journey that much more interesting in the film.
