The little FB nugget in today's PC got me thinking...yeah, dangerous, I know.

The minimum we will likely keep at each position.

QB: 3, this one is pretty set in stone.

RB: 3, Parcells spoke at length about his desired breakdown of play distribution today.

FB: 0

TE: 2, Campbell and Witten then ?, but 3 is probably more likely, not including Robinson.

WR: 4, is pushing it when special teams needs are included.

OL: 8, five starters and one back up for each position.

Offensive minimum: 20

DL: 6, probably light.

LB: 7, same as OL starters and one back up each.

CB: 5, can't go below 5 in todays game.

S: 3, Parcells has said every guy we have is a SS, so why'd we need two back ups.

Defensive minimum: 21

K: 1

P: 1

LS: 1

Specialists: 3

We have 9 spots to play with, IMO.

I say we keep at least one more player at OL, TE, WR, DL, LB, CB, and S. Bringing those totals to 9 OL, 3 TE, 5 WR, 7 DL, 8 LB, 6 CB, 4 S, respectively.

Two more spots, have fun.

I think Thompson makes the team at RB.

I think EITHER Bickerstaff or the A Train make the team. Not both.

Thompson in my book is #2 due to his size and skills. But A-Train has proven to get the tough yards in the NFL. BarberIII may be the odd man out.

I don't believe Henson is eligible for the practice squad.

A team may establish a practice squad of no more than eight* players who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit or who were on the 45-player active list for less than nine regular season games during their only accrued season. A player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than two seasons
