Roy, once again, played a bad game. Again he was late to the play too many times, and took so many bad angles that he was laying out his own players with erratic hits. And, before any Roy-apologists bash me for posting this, let me say that I like Roy and I hope to God he turns it around. But I can be objective enough and admit when his play is just not cutting it. The last three games were so huge and he has not show up. THAT's UNACCEPTABLE! Roy is a team captain and I firmly believe that if he corrects his play the overall defensive play will elevate itself again. As a captain of the defense, it's imperative he lead the team with solid on-field lay.

Silver lining is that Pat Watkins made some plays tonight, the big hit on Vick and that INT at the end of the game.....

Come on!!!!!!!!!

He was taking guys out left and right.........

Oh wait... those were his team mates :lmao2:

His hit on Henry was nothing, Williams was slowing down and Henry ran into him. Most of the passes caught near him were not his assignments especially the TD's. He did give up some short passes to Crumpler but who doesn't. The only bad angle I saw was the INT by Watkins. Coverage is only as good as the pass rush.

who's Row Williams?

If I'm an OC playing against us - I throw 12 passes minimum in Roy's area and 6 of those 12 i'd try and get him chasing like he did Crumpler tonite, which Vick just missed. Roy is at his worst when he's got to follow OR backup on a ball oh wait...he is pretty bad when he has to step up and break up a pass as well.
Yeah - he's horrendous. Easily the worst cover saftty in the NFL.

Easily not the best cover saftey but easily not the worst either.

He can't be worse then a certain FS from washington that is supposed be All Universe since his position states that he is to play centerfield and he gets burned more than a hotdog at a blind man's BBQ

Yeah... RW hits on Henry and Ware didn't help too much and that was close to PI on the last play when he cut off the receiver... I think he may need to lose about 8-10 pounds to regain some quickness
