The run game is atrocious

We had a few good ones and eagles run defense is stout.

But overall yeah it blows, force feeding pollard into walls with mo creativity is dumb
So TPollard is expected to do what Zeke was maligned for......run without blocking now? We have a OL problem, we have a finesse team. I don't see one OL overpowering anyone.

We have no finisher we have no one that can close out a game.

Why because we did not make an offer they couldn't refuse for Derrick Henry.

We have two drives to score the first one with like 3 minutes left and we go one-dimensional and throw the ball every time letting their defense know just pin your ears back and run through Terrence steel.

You need a closer to finish games like these against teams like the eagles a Marion Barber or Zeke in his prime type player Derrick Henry would have fit the bill perfectly.

But as usual we're happy with our guys until we're not

Pollard isn’t it. And he obviously can’t handle it. There was a 2nd and ten swing pass that he caught from Dak, and Tony ran as fast as he could straight, before running out of bounds. Sounds fine, but there was one guy to beat and he didn’t even try.

Edit- it’s here at this link

At 3 minutes in. This play infuriated me

It is week 9 and we still have not figured out how to run the ball consistently. We can't keep relying on Dak to play at an All Pro level to stay in games. Not being able to run the ball will be a huge problem that hurts us at some point.
It's already hurt us...

Handing off to Pollard on Goal to go at the 7 knowing he's going down at first contact is asinine.

Tony Pollard is not a starter in this league. He’s a good complementary back who can take over a game with big plays but asking him to be the lead back he’s just not that.
Offensive line is the problem, not the running back...there are no holes, how many times is there a DT in the backfield unblocked, what is Pollard suppose to do?

Which I and others said before the season started. So many here were blaming Zeke for the lack of a running game. Well guess what, Pollard is now the starter that so many wanted and his stats are no better than Zeke's last year.

Certainly Zeke wasn't the Zeke of old and fresh legs were needed at running back, but there was way too much assumption that Pollard could be "the guy"

Someone on Twitter (X), posted a video clip of Zeke rushing for a TD against the Eagles last year. They were trying to make the point we miss Zeke in the red zone. I don't buy that. What I found interesting in teh video was Terence Steele taking on Fletcher Cox and driving him 5 yards out of the hole where Zeke was running. Steele opened up the field for Zeke to find running room and cut to the end zone without being touched.

That is not happening this year. Steele is driving no one. He is getting beaten at the LOS in both the passing and running game. Maybe it is his injury and he is not 100% recovered yet. Or maybe he willnever ben the same. But if you want to know what Pollard is not running the ball well, look no further than the offensive line which is simply not moving defenders off the line of scrimmage.

The GM is the problem. The guys getting paid are the guys who play.
This.

TP has clearly lost speed. 10 million
Gallup- Huge Contract
Gallup for sure needs to be benched. Let Tolbert develop and take his lumps now.
