This is a game that Dallas was built to win. You draft 1st round offensive linemen and a running back 4th overall to win on the road in bad weather when it is an absolute must that you run the ball. Especially against a team that has one of the best pass defenses in the history of the league. Zeke averaged 4.1 yards per carry and they only give it to him 21 times and throw it to him 4 times. I think Dallas wins the game if they give it to Zeke about 30-35 times and throw it to him about 10. Especially on those third and short calls. New England wasn’t really stopping the run all day and we shouldn’t have given up on it until they did.

I was hoping all the success Dak has been having wouldn’t hurt us in games like this, but would instead accentuate Zeke. Today, it hurt us because they should have played to the strength of how they built this team and instead they tried to throw it around too much. Dak had 33 passes in that mess and he only ran once. Is that on the players?

I agree, but the Patriots are also built to win games like this.

It turns out a blocked punt was the difference today. Oh, and Travis Frederick really needs to stop tripping people, too. That was horrible. I hope the Patriot that went down from that is able to play again at some point.

Everyone is ragging on Zeke, and he hasn't seemed the same, but that O-line just ain't what it used to be either. They aren't blowing people off the line and opening holes.

That's simply not true though. Our run game and our pass game rely on each other. Most NFL teams are built this way now or if not like that, they rely more heavily on the pass.

Maybe, but I think you can't do that against the Patriots. They're too smart.

I agree overall, but in games like this we are supposed to be able to run with our online and RB. The sad fact is that we were, we just didn’t stick with it enough in my opinion.

This is spot on. Our discipline and accountability remind me of the Switzer years.
