But for some reason, due mostly to a high powered offense that other teams couldn't figure out until the Eagles' game, we are able to overcome them.

1.) Penalties
2.) Sloppy play (Gurode, a pro-bowl center, snapping the bowl over the QBs head at least 3 times is one example)
3.) Lack of motivation (this was especially true in the first half, as it took us until the second half to wake-up in most games)
4.) Bad special teams play
5.) A defense that just gave up too many yards and was too soft
6.) Excuses, excuses, excuses from the coaching staff--made plausible by the fact that we kept winning for some reason.
7.) Towards the end of the season, an offense that went flat and stale

So basically, not much has changed--except for the won/loss ratio......

And it was with Parcells too. You can't coach stupid.

That's what I've been saying too-but all these Parcells-apologists on this board would throw a hissy fit every time we pointed this out.

BTW-the same Parcells-apologists who made excuses of how injuries derailed our '05 season are also the same ones who said it's NO excuse for our poor play now.

I'm saying that the players are uncoachable

I think you may be on to something. This same core group of guys haven't responded to Parcells or Phillips....
