I do not recall a single play where a Saint receiver was left alone. Our DBs were on the money tonight and I've not been able to say that in YEARS! No busted coverage and the tackling was superb. It is very hard to score when the DL is pressuring and the secondary is plaguing the receivers.

You saw a lot of sheer EFFORT tonight ... and SPEED.

Just like the Home Run in baseball - ain't nothing you can do about speed -

Just ask Dem Saints.

The defensive play that the Cowboys showed tonight was about as good as it gets.

If they keep on with the intensity that they displayed in that game, it'll be incredible.

They've managed to do something tonight that no other defense could boast about.

They all played a great game, were fired up, played with intensity for 60 minutes.
But the secondary played great against a great offense.

Heck of a game for that unit. Guys that people were ready to take out back, like Lewis, Anthony Brown, Heath, Cheeto, etc. all stepped up. We really wanted someone like Earl Thomas to come in and save the day, but the safeties have not been a problem.

I was also very pleased to see that Defensive Coach Richard found a way to get Louis Jourdan involved in the secondary. His play in last night's game spoke for itself! He was nothing short of outstanding. There are so many times when speed and a big heart makes up for size! :)

Our often underappreciated safeties, Jeff Heath and Xavier Woods played their hearts out! :)

It was beyond great to see the defense pitch in like they did against the Saints Thursday night.

In fact, the entire secondary, as a whole, played lights out, actually for the entirety of the game.

Adding a top S in the draft would take this secondary from very good to great. I haven't heard one negative word about Byron Jones this year. For me, he's the difference and the often maligned Anthony Brown is finding a nice niche as a corner blitzer. Donner and Blitzin, Jones and Brown
