The last time #Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy played the Jets in Week 2 was in 2014:

• The Packers won that game and went to the NFC Championship

The last time McCarthy played an AFC East opponent in Week 2 at home after beating a team from the NFC East on the road in Week 1:

• In 2010, the Packers beat the Bills after beating the Eagles to start 2-0. His team went on to win the Super Bowl

The goal for Sunday in Dallas—WIN, and extraordinary things could be set in motion.

In 1992 there was a dog that crapped in my back yard. Dallas went on to win super bowl 27 that year.

The very next year the same dog peed on an ant mound. Boom! Dallas won super bowl 28.

People don't want to hear it and will say it's just another game but this is a real measuring stick game. It is absolutely so important that the Cowboys offense shows up to prove this team should be in the conversation and that they are for real contenders. I expect the offense to struggle some but that's what happens against good defenses. They need to protect the ball and find a way to make enough plays offensively to win the game. That being said the defense needs to shut the Jets running game down.
They cannot let Breece Hall run wild up the center of the defense. Last 3 games against the Jets the Cowboys have lost.

its week 2. We aint going 17-0 guys. I would hate it, but a loss this week wouldn't mean that much in the bigger picture. This is the NFL. Any given Sunday. That said, I think we will win a hard fought game. In the end, we overwhelm them. Watch Jake Ferguson and Schoonmaker in this game.

There is no excuse with the Jets pulling that upset on the Bills the Cowboys have been warned. The Dallas QB must not have a game like 49ers game.
It will be a disaster of epic proportions if Dallas loses this game. They have some other games they will lose but being such a heavy favorite they need to take care of business.

Who thought the Jets would beat Buffalo after Rodgers went down ?

Their defense is for real. This could be a game we see as we can’t lose . But we can.

We certainly shouldn’t be looking ahead at Arizona . Lol

Turnovers are always the equalizer in the NFL . If Jets force 4 turnovers ( 3 Int and a fumble) like they did against the Bills they could pull it out.

This sounds like one of those arcane, meaningless Norm Hitzges stats. Only he would’ve included playing the backup QB in a domed stadium at 3:30 before playing an NFC West team on the road.

While I agree, but a tad bit disagree as well.
Did the Jets force those turnovers, or was it more slop from Allen and the Bills?

Obsviouly there will be different opinions. I am sure she Jets and Bills fans looked at the all-22 film and came to their own conclusions both ways.

But yeah, do not look ahead. I am sure DQ & MM has the team in focus though. Protect the ball. Don't get into a situation where Dak feels he needs to make a play and force the ball, especially into double coverages.
These are not the Garrett teams.
