well of the 3 NFC East teams to lose, I feel we were actually in the best shape to win.
Romo played stupid yesterday. If he chooses Williams, instead of Dez, we have a TD, instead of an int that was returned down to the 2 and set up a Niners TD. If he actually pulls the trigger on a wide open Harris, we have a TD, instead of scrambling senselessly and then lobbing it to the Niners LB......if anything, we could have had 3 on that possession, if not 7. If we actually run Murray on 2nd 1 from the two, we get the first down, if not the TD.....basically use 2nd, 3rd, and 4th to pound it in......even if they hold us, they are in position to be hit with a safety if we tackle them in the backfield. However, we get cute on 2nd down, get sacked, and the we are forced to pass on 3rd down.
I am not saying we would have won, but because of Romo's absolutely poor decision making we went from either winning or being in contention to win, and being completely embarrassed in the 1st half.
I am thinking positively and hoping Romo was shaking off an offseason of rust in week 1. If he can rebound next week, then all is forgiven for now. However, if he struggles again, then I will be more pessimistic.
