Anyone catch The Simpsons this past Sunday night? They had Cowboys Stadium on it. I thought it was pretty funny.

The Simpsons Takes On The NFL (Especially Cowboys Stadium)

Jerry Jones is an easy target for ridicule. The fact that he owns the Dallas Cowboys would be enough, but that combined with power he wields over the franchise and the ego that led him to pursue a stadium of this magnitude for his team…the man is a joy to mock.

And last night, The Simpsons managed to (indirectly) do just that. The show didn’t mention Jones’ name, and was really mocking the NFL in general – especially the practice of constructing buildings, at least partially funded through taxpayer money, that cost upwards of a billion dollars.

I didn't find it all that funny. Though when they kicked the ball and it bounced off the chandelier, I did get a chuckle.

This is probably very unbelievable to most people.

But...I have never watched one episode of that show.

I missed the episode, but watched the clip. Hilarious. The writers missed a golden opportunity when the ball hit the chandelier. They should've inserted Jeff Fisher gesturing up with both hands saying, "See? See???"

Man. I love The Simpsons. :)

It's not unbelievable. What is unbelievable to me as a fan of the show is that The Simpsons have been on the air for as long as my daughter has been alive. Crazy. :laugh2: Then again, 60 Minutes has been on longer than I have been alive, so there's something for me to think about as well. :laugh1:

I haven't watched an episode in probably 20 years.

I see part of an episode every now and then but haven't watched a full one in a good, long time.

I don't really find their humor so funny anymore.

It's been close to 15 years since I watched an episode. I did catch the Simpsons movie, which wasn't horrible.

The chandelier bit got a smile, but that's about it.

Show has been going downhill for many years now, and hasn't really been funny much at all the lasat 3-4 years. Stopped watching after last season.

The show has become way too political as well. They've sacrificed humor in order to try and make clever political innuendo, and they fail with the clever part.
