He's 32. No matter where he goes, he's a situational pass rusher at best (like how BUF used Von MIller). Figure he sees 1-3 plays per drive (if that).

I think he goes unsigned until season starts and teams start to figure out where they have deficiencies

If he were signed by the Cowboys he would essentially be replacing Golston's role. Not any better than that. Not worth the vet pay really.

I always found Clowney’s career arc interesting. Folks may not remember but he was thought of as a pretty sure-fire top prospect coming out. He never developed into that guy in the NFL but has always been a solid run defender and a guy that you could rely on giving you between 6-9 sacks a year.

I respect how he dug out a respectable career.
