There's some guys from the smaller schools in this draft who are just impressing the heck out of me. Here's a Cowboys mock Draft with guys from lesser known schools. I have to admit, I'd love this.

1a. Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy. Not a true small school but not one of the football factories either.

1b. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State. 2 CBs in round 1? Hey if it's these guys, you damn betcha.

2. Heath Benedict, OG, Newberry. If you don't know this kid yet after all the harping I am doing you need to read up. My gosh what a prospect.

3. Kendall Langford, DE, Hampton. 6'6", 275 and impressive.

4. Curtis Johnson, OLB, Clark Atlanta. I started reading about this kid a couple of months ago and I admit it, I hope we get him.

5. Brandon Keith, OT, Northern Iowa. A 6'5", 349 mountain of a man.

6. Chad Rhinehart, OG, Northern Iowa. 3 O-linemen? 2 from Northern Iowa? Yeah, I'd love it. We'd have depth and a lot of nasty.

7. Marcus Dixon, DE, Hampton. Another DE from Hampton? Yeah and another towering prospect too. 6'4" 284 pounds.

Now, I'm not saying we should do this by any wild stretch. But take a good look at these kids because they are all going to make it in the NFL. Good balance of nasty and athleticism. I love the football season, but there are times when researching stuff for the Draft is every bit as much fun.

This is the best crop of small school talent I have seen in I don't know how long.

throw Jerome Simpson in there instead of Kendall Langford, and cover all your bases
I thought about it.

based on his workout, you may want to include this kid. I have never seen him play - just looking at his numbers. He was hurt most of last year, so he doesn't have much recent film.

40 time: 4.44 (7th WR)
Bench reps: 19 (8th WR)
Vertical: 37.5 (2nd Wr)
Broad Jump: 10'8" (2nd WR)
3 cone: 6.67 (2nd WR)
20 yd shuttle: 3.96 (1st WR)
60 yd shuttle: 10.87 (1st WR) (next best WR was at 11:22!)

Arman Shields (WR)

Anyone see the kid from App St this year? He is a WR, and is a burner. Had a big day against Michigan in week 1.

Yes, he is very fast.......

Bobbie Williams, FS, Bethune-Cookman
Height: 6-0. Weight: 212.
40 Time: 4.47.
Projected Round: 4-5.
Following in the footsteps of Bethune-Cookman alumnus and current Packers safety Nick Collins, Bobbie Williams is the best safety in 1-AA. An interception machine, Williams has picked off 13 passes in his career. he is also an excellent punt returner I have seen him play all over the field dont understand why he didnt get invited to combine

That's impressive. You've peaked my interest.

Cogan mentioned Brian Johnston 6-5, 280lb, 4.75 DE out of Gardener-Webb ( I have no idea where that is or if itis an Art school ). Great Blue says he is a 4.65. Credited with a nonstop motor.
