Not only was he the Super Bowl V MVP, he made huge plays in Super Bowl VI too and Miami admitted before the game they were worried about what he could do.

I agree he was the leader of that unit and a big key to the Doomsday Defense

Howley didn't look that quick on the field to me. But he was always making plays. And he made a lot of them when we needed one. It's hard to compare players IMO. Hollywood was probably more athletically talented than Howley but he wasn't better IMO. Ware just needs to record it for 5-6 years which he should do. People forget Billy Cannon, for good reasons, but he was going to be something special.

I agree with you. Howley, to me, was not a fast or even exceptionally quick player. However, he understood the game and anticipated very well. He was in the right place because he understood how the game worked.

Billy Cannon never saw the field but your right. Had things been different, there is a very good chance this discussion might be about Cannon.
