I wondered about that as that that song was my first awareness of Elvis. I lip synced that in a school talent contest, came in 2nd, should have gone with Pat Boone as I had first planned. I blame Elvis and now, cowboyec for the loss.

Yep, too early for any metal, especially his. One of the coolest albums I ever heard was Paul Anka doing big bans covers of rock tunes like Black Hole Sun, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Eyes Without a Face and this one


Now, I grew up with Big Band, Sinatra so to me I thought this was great.

I laughed at the critics at first and then I heard it and got what they were talking about. It sounds like a novelty idea but he's a very successful songwriter and was paying tribute his way, the big band way, to some songs he really liked.
