The sound of apathy is deafening

Over the past few years I would have gotten much more angry with a loss like the Seattle one. But after the poor coaching over the years it's something that I just expect. When a fan base stops getting angry because they are used to losing, the owner should listen twice as hard. Basically we are told to trust Jerry, well Jerry, you have beaten the fan base down to a point of just not caring enough to get upset.

Congrats Jerry. You've beaten the life out of us. I've been a huge fan for the past 40 years and it's the first time I'm just past getting angry. We knew that this team would let us down like all of the ones under JG. If you don't do something to change things the fan base will become less and less passionate. Just listen to how quite this forumn is when it should be full of passionate people upset. Instead they expect the product that you have been putting out on the field so it wasn't a surprise.

I agree with one exception.
The fans will get less passionate and maybe some drop out of love with the cowboys.
But for every one who drops out , there are 10 other yahoos who will take their place.
Jerry wants to win, yes, but he wins anyway, monetarily.

I assume Jerry is going to go with Dak next year no matter what, but another year of the league defenses being able to scheme Dak into mediocrity is going to leave the Boys in a deep hole.

That's where coaching comes into play. Dak has the tools. If the league can "scheme Dak into mediocrity" then we need a better scheme.

No ****! I need a double shot! Salud!

You need to go teach Garrett "the Glare." He needs some personality.

His "Stand on the Sideline" is not good imitation of John Harbaugh.
John looks confident.
Garrett looks confused.

"The Clap" move he stole from Jimmy Johnson.
He's a poor clapper compared to Jimmy.

God help us all if he tries the fedora look!

If you can be honest, we all root for a corpse. For a team that doesn't exist anymore. The Dallas Cowboys are dead. The death certificate reads "Cause of death: Jerry".

They are now just another team in the league. Nothing special about them whatsoever. Just making the playoffs is suddenly something to be proud of and a crowning achievement of a coach's tenure. The bar has dipped so low. Our fans have become conditioned to accept what was always unacceptable and it being unacceptable is what made the Cowboys great.

It's unbelievable to me how one man's ego could cause all this.

I've been a sports fan all of my life. Passionate. In all 4 major sports leagues as well as Nascar, Boxing and MMA. You develop a lot of hate for players and teams over the years if sports is a big part of your life. At least I do.

If you combined all the hate I've acquired in the sports world over the years and multiplied it by 2 you wouldn't get half the hate I have for Jerry Jones. I loathe his existence. Merely hearing his voice makes me want to commit a crime.

And I think I'll stop there. Go Cowboys. Excited for next season. It already just feels different.

I agree, I wasn’t as upset this year as in years past. I expected it too. There were many red flags shown this season that told me they were once again irrelevant. It is sickening to think just a year ago we thought our future was very bright. I’m doubtful now.

It's probably a bad time now but if you could remind me later to point out that I didn't think the future was bright while you guys were running around campaigning for Prescott as the MVP that would be great.

Not now. Later.

I didn't watch most of the last 5 or so games.

You, I, and everyone else in here will be highly invested come next season. I’m sure the tough guy, self-proclaimed, know-it-all poster will be in complete denial, but they’re fooling no one.

Have a good night.

Well honestly it wasn’t just about Dak or even just Zeke...it was how the team performed and played with fire and passion. A rejuvenation. As Big Bill once said...we were all sucked.

Not all, bro. Had them 8-8. Down year. QB problem. The whole deal.

The sound of apathy is deafening

More the sound of resignation. As long as Jerry makes football decisions this team is winning nothing.
