I'm confused by one thing in your post. You said the media has been destroying the whole team and you'd provide links (no need, I'm aware), but then you ended by saying we aren't hearing about other players and coaches shortcomings? I don't get it.
I'm saying we don't hear about other players and coaches on this board. (I should have clarified that)

If a person never watched the Cowboys play, and just read the responses here, they would think that Dak is the only problem with this team coming up short.

Dak certainly deserves his fair share of criticism, but Dak isn't solely the ONLY reason why we've failed to reach our goals.

And you're tooooo scared. Eat your Wheaties kid and stay safe and cozy behind that keyboard in that dank basement in your parents home.

I'm not emotional, I'm direct. Weak ones like you can't grasp the concept. Keep it moving and continue listening to your RuPaul greatest hits cd.
Blah blah blah faux wack

QB's just don't improve after the age of 30. I think that one old fert for the Giants did, but that's the exception, and that's only 1.
Gannon and plunkett got the Raiders to a Superbowl post age 30. There were others as well.

It’s not and not that it matters on here, but he’s not smarter than I am. Is he a better football player and athlete? 10000000% and I applaude him to this day he was able to hoodwink Jerry and play his most important card to the tune of generational wealth. If I was like him, I would do it the exact same way.
How do you know Dak is not smarter than you?? He turned his skill into being a millionaire. You turned your skill into complaining about him and claiming to be smarter on a message board.

No, it really isn’t. Suk hasn’t just lost many, if not most, on the team but he’s lost 90%+ of fans as well. We NEED TO MOVE ON FROM SUK.
He's definitely lost the large majority of fans. The question is whether he's lost the locker room and FO support. I think you're still going to see him get extended which is going to be just more of the same, but I'm holding out on a glimmer of hope that they decide to eat his cap hit this season, draft a QB, and have an open competition during preseason for the starting position.

@KJJ you posted this in the other thread in response to me but I couldn't get to it before it got locked

"You’re assuming way too much. No one thought we would get the season we got out of him after leading the league in INTs last season. It makes no difference what the pass defenses were like that we faced. Dak had a career year despite OL issues and an inconsistent running game. Plus we only had one consistent WR. Our offense consisted of Dak to CeeDee."

I don't see how you can just write off the fact that playing the softest pass defense schedule in the league (literally 32nd), and Dak having a career year, as some kind of coincidence. So just assuming we have a tougher schedule next year of let's say the 16th toughest pass defenses, do you really believe that there won't be a regression there?

We also had a top 10 offensive line and Dak not only had CD, he also had Ferguson and Cooks. Run game sucked, no argument there.

Dak having a career year had a lot to do with the new offense and OC change. Don’t be fooled by our OL ranking we had OL issues all season and Dak was under a lot of pressure. It didn’t help that we had an inconsistent running game which put a lot on Dak’s plate. It really makes no difference the rankings of the pass defenses he faced when you’re under a lot of pressure and you can’t run the ball effectively. Plus he only had one consistent WR. Cooks was a no show the first half of the season and Gallup still hasn’t returned to form.

So do you think facing a tougher defensive pass schedule will help with any of what you mentioned? Again, his numbers were great against bad, meh to bad against good. Next year, we'll play more good pass defenses than we did this year. We'd have to to move off of dead last.

Anytime you face a weak or pass defense it should help but OL issues and an inconsistent running game offset some of it. You like many fans are trying to discredit Dak.

These Dak Stan’s are the worst. In one breath dude says pay no attention to the Oline stats that make them seem better than he gives them credit for but when you do the same with Dak it’s hold up them stats aren’t relevant? The mental gymnastics these Stan’s do is sickening. Grown male groupies.

It is what it is. He played great, but it was against bad pass defenses. He didn't play great against the better pass defenses he faced. Both things can be true.

An underachieving diva on defense who can't be criticized or coached is a big problem for us as well. I agree it's not only the Dak issue.

It has now been nearly 3 weeks since our implosion in the WC game. 3 weeks of Dak getting absolutely annihilated in the press and on social media by everyone and, literally, their mother.

There has been nothing but silence. For someone who is supposedly a great leader, the players who supposedly are the ones that follow this leader, have said nothing to support him. His offensive linemen, silence. WRs? Silence. Ferguson? Silence. Pollard? Silence. Defense? Silence. Coaches? Silence. Ownership? Not so thinly veiled shots across the bow, "we'll go as far as Dak takes us, and that's how far we went."

This entire organization has turned its back on Dak. Honestly, and this is coming from a Dak "hater," I feel kind of bad for the guy. It's not like he doesn't try hard or put in the work to be successful, he just isn't that guy and never will be. The choke glitch is mental and no amount of extra practice or film watching is going to fix that.

That said, he does work hard, but he has lost the locker room and organizational support. He should ask for a trade just based on what he should be viewing as the team sticking a knife in his back.
I doubt the players are as caught up in the melodrama as fans and tabloid sports journalists, who, by the way, get paid to create melodrama. .

I'm sure they're not...but everyone looking the other way while their teammate's getting a beating is a little suspect. Usually can't get these guys to shut up. Especially the owner. I don't think this is a legitimate excuse.

He played 16 games this year.

1st 8 games: 39 targets with 26 receptions

2nd 8 games: 42 targets with 28 receptions
The chemistry between Cooks built as the season went on. With all the criticism that Cooks wasn’t producing the Cowboys made an effort to get him involved.
