Q: An interesting fact was revealed during the Vikings-Cowboys game: Did you know Tony Romo and Jason Witten room together for road games? This is the kind of information we need to know before fantasy football drafts!
--Brad C., Lynnfield, Mass.

SG: I just love the fact someone like Romo has to have a roommate on the road. Would there be a worse guy to room with than a good-looking, single, famous football quarterback? How many times this season do you think poor Witten has been sitting uncomfortably outside a hotel room that has a sock on the doorknob at 2 a.m.? I see his fantasy production dropping as the season goes along simply from lack of sleep and bad posture.

the way they talk about each other so seems like they are like brothers...so im sure if that ever happened they would pull a double team and slap each other so the other can get rest

If it was Eric Bickerstaff as a roomie, Witten would have nothing to worry about.

I've read that Romo is not a good housekeeper. Witten is prolly the only guy who's willing to room with him.

That question was one of about 5 that didn't involve the Patriots, Red Sox or Celtics. I know he's a New England homer, but he hasn't written about anything other than that for the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I agree. I love reading his stuff in general but I've been avoiding him like the plague recently.

I don't think I've read anything quite so homo in a long time. I'm sure if it was 2 in the morning, Witten has enough extra change to pick up another hotel room. After all, Romo is going to get Witten a room in hawaii in january...

What kind of relationship do you have with your brother? I'd think twice about sharing a toothbrush with mine.

Agreed. I've read his stuff pretty regularly since 2001, and the last month or two he's started to wear on me. He was funnier when the Red Sox were cursed, the Patriots were an underdog SB Champ, and the Celtics were wallowing in mediocrity. I guess Boston fans are due, but man, tone down the homerism a bit. I've also had enough of his constant defense of the Pats scandal. Let it go.

I feel the same way, Just think if it had been any other team he would be killing them..I am so sick of hearing about Boston sports right now....

How would you like to have Najeh Davenport as your roommate on the road? You'd have to Scotchgard all your clothes.

Actually I'm surprised to hear that Romo and Witten still room together on the road. I was under the impression that only rookies must share a room on the road.

Also considering that Cowboys usually only arrive in the city they playing in the night before, I'd be very surprised if Romo entertaining the night before. Romo is a competitive player and wouldn't allow anything to affect his performance and lack of sleep could certainly do that. Don't forget he essentially broke it off with Carrie Underwood back in July cause she demanded too much of his time with TC beginning and the regular season around the corner.

Aikman and Dale Hellestrae were roommates up until the end.
