Exactly, I figured the Cowboys and Eagles would be the class of the division as usual, but I didn't expect the Giants to fall off the map. Washington is well, Washington. They're inconsistent to the point where you never really know what team you're getting with them.
I have a feeling Washington will part ways with 50% of that D Line

you can get a pretty nice haul by breaking them up and if the defense is giving up over 31 ppg why not?

The Giants are who I thought they were...Daniel Jones is a QB that needs Saquon to take over games and he make the safe plays....if theyre asking him to go out there and take over games then thats on them.

I could see that. I think Washington is about to start a massive rebuild. As for the Giants, I thought they'd be bad, but not as hilariously bad as they've been lol.

So, let's look at the state of the NFC East about a quarter into the season. The Giants are an abysmal trainwreck who might be the worst team in the league. The Commanders just lost to the Bears and are at 2-3. We are 3-1 going into a tough battle with the 49ers, and the Eagles haven't lost yet. That said, the Eagles have looked rather shaky of late. As of now, I think the Cowboys and Eagles are the class of the division, as usual. I'm looking forward to our games against Philly. I think we are very much capable of winning the division. I think we can take Philly and keep the division trend of not repeating alive. I think our defence can take their offense, as long as we keep Hurts contained in the pocket and not let them into Brotherly Shove territory. I think their defence has holes that our offense should exploit. Their secondary has looked very shaky, and Hurts has been throwing a lot of interceptions of late. If the Cowboys play disciplined against them, I think this division is ours for the taking.
Condensed version: Dallas and Philly are good, Giants and Washington are bad. Seems like it’s that way 90% of the time.

The Iggles are not the same team so far this year, and we are coming off 1 stinker. The Iggles O is coming around, but their D doesn't look as dominant. Our season starts Sunday, this will tell us where things are at before even thinking Philly
Lot of speculation popping up that Hurts never had 100% recovery from his injury.

As bad as the Eagles O has been they‘re averaging almost 30 pts per game. Hurts is running less and taking a few more chances with the football and it’s led to some picks. I think he’s shown the tendency to predetermine throws which he needs to address. Pass game did look better last game.

The d has had some injuries in the secondary which has hurt them. Losing Avonte Maddox in the slot led to moving Bradberry there and putting Josh Jobe on the outside. Bradberry isn’t quick enough for the slot and Jobe is a rookie who looks over his head at times. They just picked up Bradley Robey for the slot. Hopefully he can play ok and Bradberry can kick back outside. Teams are negating the pass rush by using the quick game. That’s going to keep happenin.

Blankenship may be playing better than CJGJ did last year but the other safety spot has been a weakness. Terrell Edmunds just isn’t good. I’d like to see the rookie Sydney Brown starting there but he keeps getting banged up.

This weekend could very easily be an L. The Rams have 3 good WR’s with Cupp back and the Eagles lost Cam Jurgens for a couple games. Sua Opeta is going to see a lot of Aaron Donald.

No matter how the Eagles have looked thus far, they are still unbeaten and our the defending divisional champs, until proven otherwise. Cowboys will have an opportunity to unseat them, but both teams with be back in the playoffs in this top heavy conference.

If I'm Mike McCarthy, I'm making this point to the team. Beat SFO to keep pace with Philly. When we get to playing them, we must play physically and disciplined. If we can, I think we can beat them both times.
...and they don't yet possess a Lombardi in the past 5 years. Be the best!

Yes. Those interceptions have been devastating. All Cowboys fans wish Hurts is really a bad quarterback. If only the wishes come true. The LA Rams have been surprisingly good. Everyone characterizes the Eagles as “shaky”. Rams have the Eagles at home Sunday. This should be a loss for Philadelphia. Right? Do they even have a chance with their overrated quarterback?
No luck there. He's a very good quarterback up until he, heaven forbid, gets injured running the ball. That changes Philadelphia who has new coordinators.

You sure have a big % of your posts that are Eagles related for a guy on a Cowboy board. But, I'm sure you're a Cowboy fan though  .
Hurts stinks as a pure passer. He is elite as a runner and he runs your offense well and plays behind what is by far the best OL in the NFL since he started. Every QB is 10 times better behind a great OL and Hurts is no different. He is and will remain a good QB, but not because of his passing ability. Let's see what he is once Kelce and Johnson are gone.

They look almost identical to last year.

Last year: Struggled at Detroit week 1
This year: Struggled at Patriots week 1

Last year: Beat Minnesota week 2
This year: Beat Minnesota week 2

Last year: Beat up Commanders week 3
This year: Beat up Tampa week 3

Last year: Struggled against Jacksonville week 4
This year: Struggled against Washington week 4

Last year: Averaged 165 yards rushing through 4 weeks
This year: Average 165 yards rushing through 4 weeks

That beatdown we gave them opening night ruined their season. Couldnt recover from it.

The Giants have certainly not lived-up to expectations as Tablet tossing is becoming the norm.

In Washington the ex-Skins natives are getting very restless. Riverboat Ron many be in trouble as the Commodores are once again paddling in circles.

Seems as if the Birds are running into stiffer competition thus far, but still undefeated while not exactly looking "tip-top". I think they're ripe for the plucking.

Although one game behind, I feel more confident at this point than I expected I would prior to the start of the season. In terms of the relative health of the division it may be safe to say we've taken a small step backward as I can't see 3 playoff representatives from the East this year. It's starting to look as if the Birds and the 'Boys are the haves while the G-men and Wash. are the have nots.

Go Cowboys!
