he's a solid #1 receiver but Jefferson is almost at another level and who we should have taken
Sure, but try being the Raiders and Broncos reliving that draft. We did okay. Broncos wound up helping us again shortly after.

The summersault flip hit he endured showed me some Irvin like toughness.I think back on how Irvin would just take some brutal over the middle hits yet still hold onto the ball.
Seeing that side of CeeDee develop is refreshing.
As you say Bob, it takes a certain degree of mental and physical toughness to become a champion.
CeeDee is starting to set that type of example imo.
Representing the #88 well.

He’s starting year 4 and has gotten better each season. And he’s only 24.

Cee Dee is now an enormous threat . his quickness and catching ability is superb. But he also added a steely physicality. The broncos are kicking themselves for not taking him over waddle.
He needs to be signed long term .

He’s definitely gotten stronger. He looked like a HS kid when he first hit the NFL.

I thought CeeDee was a career #2 and a slot receiver coming out of Oklahoma. I was wrong, he's one of the best in the game and an alpha player.
Similar feelings.

I felt like he was going to be a nice weapon, but not a focal point.

Pretty happy with CeeDee so far. Have to think he's the safest guy to pay at this point.

Halfway through last season the light came on for CeeDee…..he’s been on another level since then

I didn’t see it coming because ,although he was skilled, I thought he was too soft. I was dead wrong and happy that I was.

Cedee Lamb has always been good. But even really good college WRs need a little seasoning to become great in the NFL. In his 3+ seasons here, Lamb has developed into one of the best WRs in the NFL. Although he was really good right out of the gate, he’s gotten better each season.

Here are some nuggets showing his steady development.
  • His Targets have gone up each year- 2020- 111, 2021- 120, 2022- 156. Shows increasing confidence from his QB.
  • His total receiving yards have also gone up each season: 2020- 935, 2021- 1,102, 2022- 1,359.
  • He’s increased TD numbers each year: 2020-5, 2021- 6, 2022- 9
  • Had a 17 game streak between 2021 and 2022 with zero 100+ yard games, then has had six 100+ yards games in his last 10 games of 2022 season to the present.
  • Yards per game: 2020- 58, 2021- 69, 2022- 80, 2023 so far averages 110 yds per game.
  • Drops have decreased: 2020- 8, 2021- 8, 2022- 6, 2023 so far- 0
Lamb has also become a much better route runner. When he arrived from OU in 2020, he was used to being able to “out-athlete” his opponents on the field. As a skilled NFL WR now, Cedee Lamb has become a top ten WR in the league. And he’s only 24.
Lamb was on pace for 1400 yards his rookie year before Dak went down. Lamb has been amazing from the start. We had to get Cooper outta here for him to become the true focus and we needed a REAL OC to feature him like he should be.

I cannot argue with your logic.. but what's the point of living in the past about it?
What logic? There is no logic there at all.

Lamb is now a top 7 WR in the NFL. He is a high end #1. I would take probably 5 or 6 over him, but thats it.

Jefferson, Chase, Hill, Adams. Wilson from the Jets is in the conversation.

The Broncos actually took Jerry Jeudy.

I understand it has only been 2 games, but his catch % is up 20% higher than normal.
