The Steelers won the Pickens trade

Well, with the fan consensus of opinion that he sucks and has no future, he's likely going to be All-Pro very shortly.

Good for Drew. He got into a bad situation at PSU. Franklin was a terrible head coach.
He's got all the tools. The question is can he get coached out of his funk and get his confidence back?
Did you actually watch him play?

They sure did, and based on this outcome, I hope they will make future trades with us of the same caliber ;)

He would need 7 promotions to become a backup quarterback.

If this were the cowboys, everyone would have said its only one preseason game, hold the gold jacket.

The cowboys had one decent scrimmage against the rams and a handful are trashing them. Good grief!

Or maybe it just worked out well for both sides?
Crazy that an issue might not be purely black and white.

I have no clue how Allar will ultimately fair, but at least game 1 PS was encouraging and not a train wreck.
Think it'll do him well being the backup this year and not being forced into the fire unless Rodgers gets injured.
Always thought he had the talent, the question was if he would ever get the mental side down.

All I know is the NFL desperately needs young good QB's, so I hope we finally get some hits, especially in the later rounds.Even if it's the Stealers benefiting.

If we get 3 seasons out of Curious George we did pretty well.

Throw the 2nd franchise on him and draft a #2......lease and use

Done and done

I have the misfortune of seeing this guy play at Penn State multiple times,I will be beyond shocked if he even becomes a backup QB in the NFL.
Just a bad decision maker. His last memory for me is that late game interception against ND. Felt some pressure and just heaved it into coverage. Interception, a minute later ND kicks the winning FG, PSU goes home.

Remember Dak Prescott started a preseason game........ And the rest is history
LOL
Dak Prescott was a good college QB.there are many QBs who were mediocre in College but made it in the NFL but i cant think of any who were bad in College and made it in the NFL.

As if fans can predict what a college quarterback will be in the NFL. Teams can barely ascertain it with any degree of certainty. Brock Purdy comes to mind. Who knew?

Allar looked better in his first NFL preseason game than he ever looked in college. And whatever the caliber of the competition he faced last night it was certainly collectively better than he ever faced in college.
