The Stomach

Dallas has made some hard choices. They let Demarco Murray walk. They got rid of Amari Cooper. They cut Romo (and Aikman). Don't confuse hard choices with correct choices.
It's all a crap shoot...how many SBs have the Bills and Vikings won? Not defending Jerry, but it's easy to criticize from a sofa.

Part of being risk averse is laziness. They're too lazy to put in the effort required to change things. The other factor is stupidity. They just don't know what they're doing. Period.
Around the rim

Agree with some of this but I think mostly Jerry and Stephen just consistently back the wrong horses. They are so jaded from losing they are scared to walk away from something that has had mediocre success because they believe they can get where they want to be.

None of this would be the case if Jerry were in danger of losing his job. The franchise's problems begin precisely where Jerry's job security begins.

Whataboutism does not excuse your own failures. Pointing out that someone is a bigger liar than you does not excuse your own lies.

Add LA moving on from Goff for Stafford just 2 years removed from a SB appearance
Hard to argue that since LA got a SB. I still think Goff could have got them there and it was nuts how much they gave plus golf in that deal. But, again it did get them a SB. I think they gave like 3 first rounders and Golf if I remember correctly.

Bills are going against god reincarnated sadly. It’s a sin they haven’t had one. That chiefs/bills AFC championship game a couple years ago was the best game I ever seen.

As someone else stated you would think those two would gamble all the time since they have permanent job security. However, Jerry would rather die on his sword than admit a mistake.

Chiefs got rid of Alex Smith as he couldn't get over the "hump"

Philly dumped Wentz

Vikings let go of Cousins who carried a terrible OL and atrocious defense for the majority of his time there.

Rams got rid of Goff. Goff goes to another team and has played extremely well. Lions get rid of Stafford and he wins in LA. lots going on here to explain

Vikings and Bills dumped Diggs

Etc etc

But you can have it the other way. Giants let go of Barkley for Danny Dimes...

Yes, I've been somewhat of a bills fans since the early 80s...I think I just liked their uniforms. Vikings with Fran Tarkenton were snakebit too. I'd like to see one if them win it, unless they play the Dallas Texans

Bryan Broaddus has mentioned this point several times:

The Jones do NOT have the stomach to make the hard choices. They enjoy being comfortable and riding it out.

Buffalo and the Vikings got rid of their best WR-- Stephen Diggs. He was a pain in the butt for both teams. And both teams have gotten better getting
rid of their best WR. ( No I am not saying get rid of Lamb).

Packers TWICE moved on from legendary QBs: Favre and Rodgers. Moved on. And they just keep moving along. Got rid of their best RB, who went to Minnesota and got another one.

Dallas shown they don't want to change by signing a QB, who is not a difference maker to a NFL record contract. Jerry couldn't stomach it by moving along after the embarrassments vs 49ers and Packers in the playoffs. Dallas/Jerry loves to sign their own. From players and coaches like Zimmer.
Do you actually trust Jerry to make a good or blockbuster move? While you stop at the QB position, each time GB had someone waiting in the wings (Rodgers/Love),.....we don't. As for WR......Lamb ain't being paid enough to carry the receiving game alone, nor is it reasonable for the QB. We now have two 5 feet something WRs running deep routes or slants (No offense to Turpin, who should do slot work)

The best thing Jerry could do is retire as GM and toss money at a young GM
