I am not as critical of the change of pace of the episodes. I just love good drama. The Grove was an superb episode. I hated the fact that Lizzie could not be helped with her mental illness but there aren't any functioning psychiatric centers in a zombie infected world. For me, another great episode was Live Bait. That episode really had me thinking there was the tiniest chance of The Governor reforming. He had reached rock bottom. He had adopted a new family. He seemed to regained some humanity at least. But just like Lizzie, The Governor had to be put down like a rabid dog. Just wished Michonne had done the deed before he hacked Hershel. I absolutely loved the Hershel character (no homo) :(

Speaking of the comic...what is your thoughts on the possibility that they eventually use the Negan character and how much do you think they'll have to tone him down to put him into the show? That's one vile character.

Oh he'll definitely be part of the show. Just not this season. I think they'll have a character who epitomizes Negan's evil, but will not be a carbon-copy of the comic version. Keep in mind what the did with "The Governor's" character on TV as opposed to the comic book version. The results were the same but were much different characters.

You hit upon the "good drama" point.

Many folks aren't into that... They like they crashes, booms, bangs and bites... And that's OK too, but that type of viewer is probably going to be more enthralled by a 90 minute movie than a TV show that needs to fill 672 minutes of viewer time.

Good point.

I'm looking forward to the Negan character and how they use him. It should be very interesting.
