Dez at the bottom, notice the bite when Dak turned briefly to Morris - Walk-in TD

9

Corners didn't bite until he looked the other way and started his throwing motion.
Corners and safety on Dez are crashing straight down not toward the Ball. It was a shoulder twitch to Morris. they come toward the LOS straight and then angle toward the pass.

They were reacting to a Morris check down. Still shot shows them head toward Dax's right (Free's side)

Sorry deleting.. I thought Dez was on the right.. I couldnt tell with this big foot grainy footage.
LOL. Yeah I have **** box video screen capture tools. the other 1040 file was going to take 49min to upload.

Needless to say I need to find time to research that one day

Nvm.. I was right the first time.. That is Dez at the bottom... That was never going to be a TD guys.. Sorry.

The play is designed to get out quick to Witten.

Dak reads double coverage on Dez... Also there is a linebacker that could easily pick up Morris in the flat. No way does any QB make that play.

Until Dak vertically pressures a defense you're going to see a lot of players crashing down that hard. That is a good illustration of how the Giants didn't feel threatened by the deep ball at all I don't view it as a bite.

IMO, and I know I'm right, Jenkins just screwed up.

The problem is the play is designed to look off Witten for a split second and then turn and get him the ball..

It's a quick play that doesn't have any reads.

In the still shot, the MLB, S and CB are all crashing to Morris. Whether or not it was originally designed that way, he's looking at the safety come down, This is a busted coverage.

Technically yes he did bust the coverage.

Like I said though.. Dak was not reading coverage.. It was a quick look off and pass to Witten.

When he looked towards Witten is when Jenkins broke forward anyways.

It's a quick pass and he was never going to see that mistake.

16 second mark... Dak turned his head and Jenkins broke forward simultaneously.

A play like that is where a vet qb and dez discuss what happens with Linehan and you go back to it later with similar look. Its called adjustments but evidently this staff has not got to that section in Football coaching for Dummies Manual.

THey are reading Morris. Morris pauses and then the second he steps in the S, MLB and CB all converge. Daks front foot is pointed right at Dez, he hadnt turned to wittern up top yet. They broke down not up

It was 3rd and 18 and they crashed down hard on a short pass it speaks to what they thought of the vertical game. And I haven't seen all the plays but I bet second half they were probably just as aggressive majority of plays

I agree that it was a designed play with a quick look off and Dak wasn't reading coverage. It was look away, turn and throw

Pause it at 15 and then 16 seconds..

Look when Dak turns his head and when the corner broke "down". It all happened simultaneously. No QB is seeing that on this designed play unless they screw up the play and look off Witten 2 seconds longer than they should.

No way that is a TD to Dez. The S and CB had Dez doubled and when Dak turned they released Dez.

This is before Dak turns away. He is looking to throw to Dez but he is doubled. What would have helped is another WR running a slant across the middle that Dak could have pumped faked or used to look off the safety.

This is lights out if he was looking to Dez. The coverage is blown. You have the defense moving toward the QB and the WR goins the direct opposite direction. Bothe the safety and CB have to stop, flip hips and start from zero.

I concede he was never going to Dez (which was an issue, but the defense thought it was a dump to Elliot before he turned to Witten.

Maybe for a Vet QB. Dak had on one to look the Safety off with. Dez was doubled until Dak turned away so no way a QB is going to make that throw. Also you have to consider they are deep in their own territory and a bad pass could easily mean a walk in pick 6.
