I'm sorry but it just can not happen again.

Frederick is a huge loss. His loss effect's the entire line. That's the reality.

It just can not be an excuse for the coaches though if the wheels fall off.

They will have had a few weeks to prepare for this and 1 hole in the boat that isn't the QB shouldn't sink the boat.

If Dallas fails this year then Jason Garrett just can not escape because of this 1 injury.

We can not have a coach that makes his team so fragile that the whole thing falls apart with an injury.

From what I’ve read, Fred could be back after a couple months which would be right in time for the meat of our schedule. I think we can manage with Looney just fine.

And as far as impact on the offense, at least Zack and Tyron are okay because they have more of an impact on the line imo.
 
Why should this effect strategy? a) we still have 3 well above average O linemen and b) allegedly Zeke carries this team and can run with a lot of success behind any O line. There’s no reason Zeke still shouldn’t have a ton of yards.

As much as losing Fred hurts, we’re still better on the O line than most teams. I’m suprised to see so many people throwing in the towel, it’s ridiculous.

Pertinent point. It's a mindset, and should be overcome with leadership from the coaches.
 
Prepare yourself.

If this season is another disappointment and Frederick misses a healthy chunk or all of the season, expect he'll be the excuse from Jerry. They'll talk about how the team is built around the OL and it was simply bad luck that a key component of that OL was diagnosed with a rare disease and therefore how can we hold Garrett accountable for that.

Ok Catch, you're right Freddy is a loss. We have no idea for how long. This team did not fall apart last year with all the Zeke BS. They will not fall apart when Freddy misses time. More than anything the team will rally around him or should, especially the O-line. Garrett is very good at keeping the team focused, much to some fans disappointment

The OL and the new WR's will be the excuses this year. Book it.

You know, I believe some fans want to see the team implode so they can rant on and on about JG being the culprit. What a way to enjoy football right

Too bad that it will. First off, it wasn’t a very good team anyway. Now, there will be very little room to run up the middle and short yardage and goaline will not be as simple as just handing it to Zeke. If they still do that, they will have a very low conversion rate. On top of that, Dak will have constant pressure in his face from up the middle. He already checks down 75% of the time. That number likely goes to around 90%. This season just went from best case 10-6 to best case 7-9 and don’t even get me started on worst case because it isn’t pretty.

I cant see it. Jerry and Stephen were both adamant after the Eagles success last year that injuries are NOT an excuse. They made some bold statements regarding it. They cant now go back and say, "well i mean its only an excuse when it comes to us."

Well we got blown out in 3 games and won 3 playing bad competition. I guess if the competition isn't as good as everyone thinks ,we will be okay.

I forgot about the WRs. Yes, they will probably talk about how there needs to be an adjustment period for Dak and the new WRs, blah, blah, blah.

It's quite clear Jerry has no intention of ever holding Garrett accountable for anything. Every offseason, it seems, he goes public talking about all the issues we had and he wants to know what they happened........... should have won more games in 2015 even with a backup QB, why games like Atlanta happened last year, how we have to be less predictable on offense.

And then every year, he does nothing.
