Reading all this Ezekiel Elliott drama almost makes you forget we are only 9 more days from our opening game.

You have to wonder about the effect this has on the team. Do they use this whole ordeal as motivation or does this become a legitimate distraction?

If Henderson does not vacate this suspension entirely, this will be an extended litigation battle royal that will be in the back of Zeke's mind all season. If week 4 rolls around and the NFL leaks some previously undisclosed, potentially incriminating evidence; does the team take it in stride or let it distract them from the ultimate goal?

Every tidbit of information that leaks from this case will be front page news because we are the Dallas Cowboys. I would suspect the team to shelter Zeke from the media all season because that is literally all the media will ask about. This may be Garrett's biggest challenge yet. A weak minded team could could let this situation distract them. A strong minded team, like the Patriots, could use this as motivation.

The pressure on this team will serve to elevate the younger players, and focus the vets.

With Dak as the team leader I have no worries. Take that how you want
I agree. All you have to do is watch Witten. I'm not saying he's the same player he was 15 years ago but he looks like he's got some spring in his step. The kid has got the veteran wanting to make plays for him and Dak looks ready to go. I'm getting goosebumps thinking about the Giants game.
