Is that the eagles have everything to play for and want to send Dallas home.. They play with that fire, we don't. I can't see us coming out and going lights out to grab the division by the throat and dismantle this team.. Instead we're "scared" it all starts up top, and if the front office are scared then this just shows why we don't show up in big games, and just dominate below .500 teams.

which one are you? us or the eagles? :laugh2:

Dallas is not scared of the eagles frankly no professional team is scared of another. Where do you guys come up with this stuff? I'm sure the Cowboys have respect for the talent that Philly has but I don't know of any team who is scared of another. Now go back to your madden. :laugh2:

Sorry, but I get the feeling we're gonna thrash the Eagles similar to the way we did 2 years ago to close out the season

at this point its a vicious cycle. You have an owner/GM who has set up a system where non-football guys are making critical football personnel decisions. Then when things get bad and stay bad...the owner starts to loose faith in the players...who are merely a bye-product of the system he created. In other worlds...Jerry can't get out of Jerry's way. He is both the judge and the jury. And the cycle continues unabated.

Great post.

You're going to get flack, but you're making sense.

For the record, I don't think Jerry is a bad GM, but he has some major faults.

Where does it say a non-football guy doesn't know or belong in those positions to make decisions.
Most football players can't make those decisions. Very few even go on to be a head coach.

These are very big men who play this game. They are not scared, you don't get to that level if you are scared to get hit. I have no doubt that the Cowboys have a respect for the Eagles ability but Dallas has had their way with Philly as well in recent times. This is a rivaly game last time out they kicked out butts but that was last time. I'm confident the Cowboys will be ready for Philly

Im trying to figure that out too, if he's talking about Jerry himself, he has over 22 years of experience as an NFL GM.

I think its because we dont have an identity as a team yet. We are tentative. The defense is a bend but dont break defense. The Offense has great parts, but never seems to be able to open it up.

The packers come out slinging and dont stop till the final second expires.

The Steelers punch you in the mouth and wont let you get up.

With the cowboys you dont know if you should send your varsity team to see them get stomped like they were a JV team, or your JV team to see them destroy the boys.

I think this affect the boys as much as the enemy.

You need consistency to be feared. We dont have that. Without that, you dont have an identity. Your not serious deep playoff material.

If you are talking about that "fire" of playing fired-up and wanting to win, then that's ridiculous. If you are talking about that "fire" of trash-talking and acting up on the field, then yes, Philly plays that way.

I see no evidence of Dallas playing scared or not having a great desire to win. What I see is a case of inconsistent execution and some poor decision-making that can be the difference between winning and losing in big games and usually can easily be overcome against below .500 teams.
