I live in Utah by Hill Airforce Base about 4 miles from there.

The ThunderBirds just finished putting on an air show and the jets come right over my house. Talk about loud...all the freaking dogs started barking and the cats hurried inside!

What an awssome display of maneuvers those pilots can do!!

Simply amazing...everyone should see an air show put on by the most talented pilots in the world.

ThunderBirds are decent but IMO they don't hold a candel to the Blue Angels...

Saw the Thunderbirds when I was a kid and got their autographs (early 1970s). My dad and brothers have pilot's licenses so they were all into it, too.

Never got a chance to see the Blue Angels.

Saw the Thunderbirds while stationed at Little Rock AFB. Wow, what a show!!

Yeah prefer the blue angels with the F-18 rather than the F-4.

Just my opinion.

But i love me some thunderbirds though the f-16 rocks my socks.

Sweet...

I work down the street from NAS Atlanta, and in the last 3 years they've had the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels perform at their annual airshow. The best thing about it is that for the entire week leading up to it, they practice above my office, so i got to see the show like 4 times in a week and didn't have to fight the crowds! :)

+1

United States Naval Aviators are the best pilots in the world.

I've seen the Thunderbirds three times. (granted it's been like 17 years since) The one time I saw the Blue Angels I didn't think they were any better than the Thunderbirds. They were both an air show and really didn't do anything different.

I used to work right by Davis Monthan AFB where they do an annual air show and I got to watch practices all the time.

I have seen both the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels and I love them both.

However, if you ask me by very biased opinion I like the Red Baron Stunt Team more. They are 1942 open cockpit prop powered planes as opposed to jets.

My favorite part of any air show are the WWII planes. I love them. I think I did a thread about them one time.

:stupid:

Biplanes planes are much more aerobatic to boot! That alone makes them more fun to watch during an air show. Of course seeing old WWII P51 Mustangs and P47 Thunderbolts are kick *** too! Actually, I just love all aircraft. If I get to see any of these close up, it always blows my socks off! A10, FA18, F16, F4, F117, B1, B2, C130, B17, or B52. I've never gotten to see a F22, F35, or a Harrier. :(
