Let all who believe in this particular fantasy take note yet again:

No team will ever go undefeated under the current system in today's game.

There is still only one resident inhabiting Perfectville.

I gotta tell ya...

I didnt want to go through another NFL season with the undefeated talk late in season and through playoffs....

It takes away from the game.

What? You mean you didn't enjoy the media acting like every game the Patriots played was the superbowl, regardless of the opponent?

I hate to break it to Tennessee fans, but the Titans are not super bowl material. Favre picked them apart today.

As long as were going to base things on 1 week, every other team should just give up because the Bills scored 50+ today.

I base it on their entire season where they haven't beat a solid football team yet.

Prior to losing to the Jets today, they have yet to beat anyone worth noting. (Unless you think the Colts, Ravens, or Bears are solid football teams) Those teams are average at best.

JAC 10 @ TEN 17
TEN 24 @ CIN 7
HOU 12 @ TEN 31
MIN 17 @ TEN 30
TEN 13 @ BAL 10
TEN 34 @ KC 10
IND 21 @ TEN 31
GB 16 @ TEN 19
TEN 21 @ CHI 14
TEN 24 @ JAC 14
NYJ 14 @ TEN 34

The AFC is weak. They will lose to the Steelers as well. Guaranteed.

They are an "above average" football team, but stick them in the NFC, they would be lucky to have more than a .500 record.

You thought it was tough. After week six the Pats couldn't win, the best they could do was not lose.

Why? Does any given Sunday not apply to the Titans?Because the Jets took advantage of the Titans using a kick returner as one of our corners?Look, the Jets did a great job controlling clock, executing and had a very good gameplan. The Titans easily played their worst game of the season.

However the Titans barring something unforeseen will still have homefield. I'd love to see the Jets come back for the AFC championship because there is no way in hell they'll dominate TOP like that again and our secondary will be fully healthy.

Read my post again. The Titans are a good football team, but they are not near as good as their record. They have played average teams the whole year. Sorry, not trying to rain on your party, but its the truth. They won't make it past the Steelers in a couple weeks and I can see this team getting ousted from the playoffs second round (they should have homefield advantage and a first round bye). If they were going out and putting a hurting on all these chump teams they were playing, then we could talk more about how "good" they really are.

The Titans aren't for real, but the Jets are. And anybody who sold Jet Favre short is getting ready to eat crow.

And really just shocking. After having the 3rd best season of his 17+ year career last year, coming in 2nd in the MVP voting and leading the Packers one play away from the Super Bowl last year, it's really uncanny how anybody could have sold him short. But to the rest of us, not one bit a surprise that he's in NY doing what he's doing, and doing it so well.

But yay hey, woo, only a couple of short months away from all of that talk starting back up again... Super Bowl contender again or not. Someone should just start the "Favre Is Washed-Up and Should Retire" thread now so many of you can get the jump on this waiting to boil topic.

I don't call getting wins over the Ravens, Jets, Jaguars, and the Colts easy.

I wouldn't call them tremendous wins either. No games in the NFL are "easy". (They didn't get a win over the Jets, they are got their *** handed to them)

Lets see the Titans play any team in the NFC East, Atlanta, Arizona, Tampa Bay, or even Carolina or New Orleans. I bet they wouldn't have a 10-1 record then.

To be frank, none of the AFC teams are that impressive. Pittsburgh is overrated, and their OL is pretty shoddy. The Jets are a very disciplined football team, but really not that great. The Broncs are fortunate the Chargers are stinking it up this year. The Pats are hanging tough without Brady, but will likely make an early exit in the playoffs despite Casell playing well now. The Ravens probably impress me the most largely b/c of their defense. Their offense isn't scary, but it's still OK enough given their D scares opposing offenses.

With that being said, if the Titans get HFA when all is said and done, getting to the Super Bowl shouldn't be that difficult for them, but they'll likely lose to the NFC rep.
