THE TO Interview

the chump who signed him and is paying him 10 mill a season.

Oh. So it was all Jerry the previous ten years. You harbored no hatred for one player during those years?

Let me go out a small limb here. That chump was your scapegoat for the tens years prior to the TO signing during which we went Lombardiless. So after TO eventually puts down the uniform for good do you see a Lombardi in the future? Will that chump still be in place?

Stephen isn't stepping up anytime soon. Skeletor will hold on for dear life. I'm just looking for clarity in your reasoning for hating one player so much.

I don't think anyone has said its all T.O.'s fault.
Any criticism of Terrell Owens = "You're claiming that all of the team's problems in '08 were his fault".

I know. Crazy.

A lot of posters here really complain about the interview that TO did with Deion and it got me to wondering what they thought it hurt.
What does everyone think Dallas' record would be if he hadn't had done that sit-down with Deion?

I'll start and say,,,,,,, ummmmmm,,,,, 9-7.

So what do the rest of you think.

I have no idea.

Now, allow me to ask you a question:

Would you rather go through a season with a TO who is openly supportive of the coaches and game plans or a TO who is openly critical of the coaches and game plans?

This season, the Cowboys had the openly critically TO, and it certainly didn't facilitate their entry into the playoffs.

Let's see. We haven't won a Lombardi in 13 years. TO has been with us for the last three. Who was the scapegoat for the previous ten? I'm just trying to make sure I have it all straight.

TO of course, my sources also says he's responsible for the economy

Jerry added another problem when he signed this guy imo. If Jerry stops signing crappy lockerroom guys like tank, pacma, and 81 we could possibly see a trophy in the future under jerry.

Oh. So he was your scapegoat for the last ten but you still remain hopeful that he will turn things around. Thanks for the clarification.

T.O. is also the sole reason why your brain can't function.

I'm one of those stupid people who thinks you actually need a passing game in the NFL

wish i was more like some of you people so i could just cover my ears go bla bla bla and talk about how great our running game will be with out him

Obviously if T.O. didn't do that interview, our offensive line would have blocked better, we would have less injurys and our offensive coordinator would actually adjust his game plans.

19-0 if T.O. didn't do that interview.

/sarcasm off

You're absolutely right! Why didn't I think of this? Very keen observation.

Does T.O. really have that much pull that his interview w/ Prime began a locker room revolt? If Garrett and to a lesser extent Wade let him run ripshod over them and pretty much dictate the offense (ie Romo/JG forcing the ball his way; getting away from the running game) then Owens isn't the problem-the coaches are! No player should EVER influence a coach, who's supposed to be the "supervisor", so to speak, in that manner! Garrett had JJ's backing, there's NO reason TO should've influenced the way he called games. Besides, if plenty of other offensive players came out and said the same thing about Red's playcalling/gameplans, was T.O.'s interview really the issue or Red himself? There were some defensive players who claimed we had one of the simplest, predictable offenses they had faced. Instead of trying to pin this past disappointing season on Owens or Stewart or Romo or Garrett or Witten the snitch , I think we as fans should simply fault THE DALLAS COWBOYS FOOTBALL CLUB in their entirety!!

side note: Even though my post points the finger at Garrett, I don't put all the blame on him. Our defense & S/T contributed to plenty of our misery!

Oh, BTW, I think we'd still been 9-7...if the OP really's looking for an answer! ;)

We could still get things done in the passing game without T.O.

Roy11 has a full off-season with Romo and he will be 100% We still have Jason Witten. We have a Bennett with a year under his belt.Give Austin a bigger role. Crayton can be the #3. Our offense doesn't revovle around T.O.

This is a tight end based offense.

You and I both know that picture is incorrect but is serves your agenda so... :D

The TO picture should also have RW11, Austin, Witten, and possibly Crayton in it. I don't remember anyone here advocating TO could do it all alone. But don't let me stop that choo choo agenda train. ;)

And you have faith in our coaching figuring out how to do that? the same coaches that didn't adjust the offense when Brad was playing and couldn't figure out how to pass the ball with Roy11, Witten and TO all on the field, the same coaches that run shotgun draw plays on 3rd and short and on the goaline

so you don't think the coaches can adjust without Owens but you think they will next season with him?

The picture is correct. No team carries one wide receiver. Why you even stated that is kinda incredible.

It was inferred that Owens production cannot be substituted. The picture reflects that.
