I for once actually saw the Witten video and it seems that Jordan Babbineaux, was giving him backhanded compliments about his play.RastaRocket;5092320 said:OK at least Witten came in higher than last season. I can respect that, he had a great year.
Pessimist_cowboy;5092291 said:Lol cam is better than romo LOL . 50% completions 19tds . Not even close . What they don't tell you is only about 35 players vote for this top 100 . What a silly idea .
What were Newton and Romo's rankings on last year's list?Romonater;5092317 said:Newton is on this list, but Tony Romo isn't? Yeah, ok.
Probably because Eli has the playoff stats, SB MVPs and hardware to go along with the 4th quarter comebacks. And let's face it, Romo laid an egg with the division on the line and the rest of the league watching on Sunday night. Didn't exactly leave the season with a good impression.DFWJC;5092367 said:Here was argument for Eli.
"Captain Clutch"
"nobody brings you back better in the 4th"
The they say, "since 2007, no QB EXCEPT TONY ROMO, had more 4th qtr comeback wins than Eli"
Allof this clutch talk yet Using 4th comeback wins as proof, yet Romo has the same number of comeback wins, had better stats otherwise...but Romo not in the top 100 and Eli is 43rd.
Wow
Oh well. All in good fun

I dunno...sounded like the other guy was indeed talking about Eli:187beatdown;5092378 said:We're not arguing about Eli being on and above Romo, we're talking about Cam freaking Newton being on the list.

Wow
What was Newton ranked last year, do you know? (I don't lol...I just know he was). And what was Romo ranked last year? Was Newton even in a position to get into the playoffs last year? I can't remember from all the trauma his dirtballs and interceptions have given me.
RastaRocket;5092386 said:Romo didn't make it last season either I believe.
Host Andrew Siciliano prefaced soliciting Romo’s reaction to his ranking by playing video of NFLN analyst Marshall Faulk’s reaction to Romo’s ranking, originally broadcast on April 28: “I’m tough on Tony Romo. I believe that when I watch this guy play, the skill set that he has, the talent that he is, he’s sometimes disappointing. But to say that he’s number… (looks down, reads the ranking on the list) 91 of the top 100 players of our league is just doing him a discredit. I mean, this guy is, is, is really darn good.”
Siciliano: “Are you offended? Number 91?”
Romo: “No, I mean… The reality of that, I talked to [Cowboys tight end] Jason Witten, [Cowboys wide receiver] Miles Austin, about five other guys, and I was like, ‘Who votes on this stuff? I thought it was the players.’ And I didn’t vote, Jason didn’t vote, Miles didn’t vote, so… I don’t even put my stock into any of that stuff, it’s just… you get a couple of guys, and, you know, they throw numbers around… That stuff changes every year, anyway. You go and you win a Super Bowl, you go and play well, you know, that stuff just takes care of itself. It always goes by what you did the last season.”
