The Top 5 Receivers After 7 Weeks... And Roy Williams

That's not a stat page. That's a cherry-picked list of numbers to try and make a point.

Interesting that Roy's numbers are at the top of all lists, either tied for the lead or taking it outright. Just coincidence I suppose.
Stats are sorted in descending order.

DE made me laugh tonight. Thank you DE. ;)
You as well. It's always funny reading where someone says, "I'm leaving this thread" and they never do. ;) :)

Yes, I know that.

My point was you cherry picked the stats to prove something.

Dallas East - If Roy Williams was given a small salary and we picked him up in the off-season for nothing, then the hue and cry would be patient with him and say encouraging things.

B ecause Jerry gave the farm away then offered him a huge amount of money - how dare he cash a big check - the usual suspects are going to be down on this guy unless he is posting the Austin numbers over the last two games week in and week out.

Truthfully he will contribute in my mind and others, and this jumping the gun on what he is doing is premature.

The pet cat theory applies here in spades when speaking about a player despised by the team for actually signing here.

You can't seriously believe that, can you? This is CowboysZone. Miles Austin has played great two weeks in a row, helping us win two weeks in a row and you've got people here that still say he sucks because Atlanta and Kansas City suck more on defense.

So what exactly is your point? That even the best WRs have bad games, but Roy's seem to be consistent? Or that Roy never has big games while other WRs do?

My main thought is that Roy just sucks.

Nice chart. Roy is barely a top 50 Wr in this league - Based on stats, production, and the normal indicators of success. Downfield blocking however, there is no one better.

Useless information.

Completely agree.

Williams is going to start until the end of season. Barring any real serious injury. Not this "rib" BS.

They need Williams out there. Austin is doing great, but, they still need Roy out there.

They are winning, he fessed up to him having a terrible game on Sunday. Hopefully he can rebound this weekend.
