I don't know how many big time MMA fans there are on here (I know Rampage shares my love for it) but I thought I'd bring up a topic so that we could discuss this years TUF season.

First of I LOVE the fact that they brought in 32 guys this year and made them all fight to where they had to win a fight in order to get into the house. That is a MUCH better way to have picked their starting 16 guys.

That's all that has happened on the first two shows, these last two weeks, are the 16 bouts that took place to weed down the group to the 16 that will start. Next Wednesday night is when the two coaches (Rampage and Griffin) should be picking their teams and getting started.

So this season is off to a fantastic start, with this concept, and already we've seen two OUTSTANDING knockouts in the first two shows. One on each show, that were just amazing.

That one last Wednesday night was the best KO i've ever seen, only because of the poor guys reaction afterwards. I've never seen anyone moan like that after a KO and then the poor guy not knowing he'd even been in a fight, after they got him to the locker room, was just brutal.

It's off to a great start and I expect to see an amazing season.

From the highlights they showed, of this upcoming season, at the end of the last show...yeah it's gonna be super entertaining.

I'm really looking forward to this one.

Huge MMA fan here. Been a fan since UFC 1 where I would buy the pay per views in my Air Force dormitory and watch them intently. My how things have changed in the sport. They hit a road bump there for awhile and it is nice to see it growing at such a rapid pace. I still do not like some of the newer rules and think it has become a little too civilized but that had to happen to keep the sport in the States and be more widely accepted.

I wish they would do a special every year or two years like the good old days where you had to fight your way to the finals to win it all.

It's good that they decided to shake up things on this season of TUF. It was begging for a change, and making the fighters earn their spot in the house was a very smart move. Hopefully some decent fighters can come out of this season and inject the UFC's middleweight division with some life.

Plus, having two of the personalities in MMA as coaches will surely make this season interesting.

serra beat george saint peier (sp) then got hurt and lost the belt then gsp won it back now right? so all signs point to deja vu :)

Still a toss-up. It'll be the usual whoever makes a mistake.

serra never lost it and was supposed to defend it against matt hughes. serra got hurt and gsp stepped in and took serra's place against hughes. so they made hughes vs gsp for the interim welterweight championship. gsp is the intrim champ but serra is still the real champ.

i heard the same thing last time..........just saying

Not a first round but...yes, he ate his lunch. He let Serra know that the GSP he got lucky against the first time around wasn't the GSP he'd face tonight.

That, folks, was PURE dominance by GSP.

What a fantastic card tonight was. They had a nice, hot, crowd for all the fights and there we some darn good fights. Rich Franklin was once again dominant, continuing to prove he's a class above everyone in the 185 division whose name isn't Anderson Silva.

gsp bores me. ever since bj penn schooled him in the standup he's become this boring ground fighter. I can't wait for the next card.

Nah, I think Dan Henderson would spank him.

Please. BJ and GSP are two of my favorite fighters, so I didn't really have a horse in that race. But all of the damage done by BJ in that fight was that one luckily placed uppercut that grazed the point of GSP's nose and sent it flopping around like one of those springy doorstops. Other than that one punch, BJ didn't do much.

And I agree...the next card is going to be awesome. I think that the Sherk-BJ fight is going to be epic.
