I just watched the semi finals, I'm so sad Marcus Jones lost. I really liked him, despite his obvious lack of standup and his apparent glass chin. Being that he's 35, he was the long shot anyway but damn I wanted to see him do well.

It's too late for him to learn to strike at this point and he doesn't have the experience to really adapt.

I can't say I really like either of the guys in the finals.

the show was all about big mouth Rashad "i'm afraid of Rampage" Evans and Rampage. I couldn't care less about any of the heavyweights

What an awful finals match-up.

The Rashad/Rampage fued got played. They would start out joking w/ eachother than see the cameras and start arguing about nothing.

McSweenys a dick

If Marcus would've got started about 10 years ago there is no telling what he could be today.

He is a big athletic dude that is extremely flexible.

Once he got mount there is no way he should've lost that fight. As big and powerful as he is + he knows how to submit people.

You already know though that he will get a UFC contract based on his talent alone but he may not hold up 3 or 4 years.

He was hard not to root for.

Yeah I can't stand that guy. I was glad Roy Nelson beat him.

I think Roy Nelson is going to win easy in the finale.

Marcus exposed that guy.

How is that?? Marcus got the mount and coudn't finsh. Great job by Schaub to get to his feet again and boy does he have heavy hands. If Schaub tags Nelson he could easily KO him. However, I do see Nelson doing his patented belly pin down to win this fight.

I think Rashad would have beaten Rampage if that fight ever took place.

As good as Marcus is Roy still has a lot more experience on him and if Roy Nelson would've had him in that crucifix or mount than it was ball game.

The guy he is fighting is just a bigger James McSweeney and you saw what happened to McSweeney.

Once Nelson gets him on the ground its a wrap. You can't fight in the UFC and be average on the ground like he is.

Hows that. Rampage is the one who turned down the fight to make a movie. And when Rashad turned down the fight, wasn't it to fight a more dangerous Machida?

I'm not sure on the details but as I recall they wanted Evans to fight Rampage when he was the Light Heavyweight Champion and Evans didn't want to take the fight at that time cause he'd just won the belt. They wound up giving Rampage the fight with Jardine instead.

The only reason that he got Machida instead wasn't by Evans decision making. He didn't want to fight Rampage at the time they wanted him to cause he hadn't been champion that long.

After Rampage beat jardine he was then going to fight Rashad for the title but that had to be postponed cause they had to get Rampage surgery after the Jardine fight. So rather than wait for Rampage to heal after the surgery they gave Rashad the winner of the Machida/Silva fight as his first title defense.

Rashad didn't turn down the Rampage fight cause he wanted the more dangerous fight in Machida. He had no idea he'd even get Machida at the time. Rashad simply didn't want to fight Rampage at the time they wanted him to (which most people have come to believe was because he was scared of losing his LHW championship so quickly) and wound up having to face Machida instead.

Also Rampage didn't turn down the fight with Rashad. He reportedly asked to have the fight postponed, and moved to a different date, so he could make the movie and then get back into training for the fight.

Dana didn't want to move the date and stood firm on wanting him to fight on that particular date and forced Rampage to decide to either take the fight on the date that Dana wanted or to make the movie. He chose to make the movie instead.

This fight will happen eventually. At some point next year we'll see the two of them fight and I do believe that Rampage will KO Rashad.

I lost all respect for Kimbo as a fighter for turning the fight down with McSweeney.

Eh, I think he made a smart business decision. You want to fight a kick boxer when you already know all you can do is throw, with a bum knee? I just think he's too old to reinvent himself at this point.

Honestly, I think he was scared of fighting McSweeney and losing again. Bum knee or no bum knee. I think the bum knee was just an excuse. Football players get cortisone shots all the time for pain. They're professional athletes. Just like Kimbo was supposedly aspiring to be. If he didn't want to put all he had into fighting, he shouldn't have been on the show.

I'm not looking down on Kimbo as a person, just a fighter. Fighting is hard. Especially putting forth the dedication daily to improve. But that's why only a select few can do it, and Kimbo isn't one of them.

James McSweeney > Healthy Kimbo/Hurt Kimbo/White Kimbo/Beardless Kimbo.

McSweeney's the better fighter. He's also a bigger version of Mike Bisping. I'm waiting for him to start using the phrase "to be honest" before every sentence.

I don't have a problem with him not taking it with a bum knee like that. I don't think you'd see too many UFC fighters take a fight on a bad wheel when they know the thing their opponent does best is leg kick the piss out of you.

No reason to further damage his knee, and set himself on the shelf even longer, just to prove he's a bad *** tough guy to a few fans who will try and hold it against him.
