You give Romo a defense and in turn he will give us a super bowl victory.

Last thing this team needs and I think if we listen to Marinelli, we can do that. He and Kiffen have built defenses time and time again. They know what they're doing.

Bob Sturm said today it's his best season by far and it's not even close.
It's the effect of playing on a good team.

If you look back at all the great QB, from Brady to Baugh, their best seasons were the ones when they had a complete team around them. When they didn't, they dropped out of the top 5 (or out of the top 10 completely) in pass rating. Or if they managed to stay in the top 10, their team rode on their back, but didn't win.

Romo's about to have his 8th top 10 year in pass rating, but the truth is, he's always potentially been a top 3 QB every year he's played.

It's funny that some would say Romo is unleashed, I think just the opposite. Murray and the line has allowed him to reign a lot of things in. Now he gets to pick spots to be the hero instead of having to do it for 4 quarters of every game.

What we're seeing is not an unleashed Romo, we're seeing an in-control Romo. I much prefer the control.

And a real OL , ( last night on the final TD 7.5 sec time )

Well there are problems that they kept the timer going until the end of the play, but yes, he got very nice protection, combined with some great pocket presence and a great ability to move around in the pocket.

I disagree to an extent. I don't think his play is any different than past years. The difference is he has a better team around him.

Same. He looks like the same guy to me (when the back wasn't bothering him).

If you get a chance to listen to his post game presser, the following comment from Tony speaks volumns about where his head is....."I'm comfortable being in uncomfortable situations".

I remember him saying that and really thought highly of what he said.

O
Romo has the best rating BY FAR this week. He was darn near flawless all game. For the second game in a row.

Where is the media focus?

Oh yeah....he didn't lose or do it in a zany manner.

I like it when Romo or Cowboys is now the focus and under appreciated. All too often media bring them praises or criticism to the extreme. I want our boys to keep an even keel and just maul people week in and week out.

Just wear them down and WIN. Winning will bring him all the attention and accolades.

The biggest difference is that he doesn't have to be superman every week for this team to win. He just need a few superman moment when we need it.

He's just a different person. I stated last night I'm not sure if it's his marriage or his kids or his experience or maybe all of it but he's more composed, humble and reflective than at any time in his career. He just has a calmness about him that manifests itself both in the pocket and as a leader of the team.

Still a long way to go - just keep chopping wood.

Romo does seem to have matured. The mental part of the game is really starting to come into play. I'm sure it also helps that he isn't running for his life every play. A good OL and running game will make any QB look better.

What a great job by Romo to trust his OL for all of that time!

We have all seen QB's, ... even while in a good pocket, panic and not trust their OLine and then begin to scramble and leave the pocket, even when they didn't need to.

That shows us the trust that Romo has with these OLineman. I am sure the clock was going off in his head telling him, "I have been back here a long time, someone has got to be coming! I need to scramble and get out of here."

But yet he continued to trust that his OLine was protecting him.

I think that is a big deal.

Just think, if we'd have built a line for Romo 6 years ago... protecting your QB seems obvious but this franchise left him to rust in the rain like an abandoned car through his best years. Luckily I think he has enough left to get this team as far as the sum of it's parts can take it.

I think I'm smarter after reading this.

Have to say that Romo is playing some of his best football. There were a lot of doubters and haters, but he is showing up week in and week out.

There a few interesting things to consider about this team in Tony Romo.

1. This team is undefeated when we have a significantly healthy Tony Romo. And maybe it is a bit of confirmation bias to say that, but think about it. Week 1 he clearly wasn't healthy, he got hurt in the Commanders game, and missed the Cardinals game. We haven't lost anything else.

When this team keeps Romo in the game and healthy, and runs the ball well with Murray, we win games. That really dates back to the DeMarco Murray debut game he had against St. Louis in 2011.

2. Tony Romo is 6-1 on Thanksgiving, with a QB rating of 107.27, with 18 touchdowns on 6 interceptions.

3. Romo has had a 110+ QB Rating in 6 of his last 8 games. He has had a 90+ QB rating in every game of the year except the opener. He is second in the NFL in QB Rating.

You may have missed something....but if there was ever a bigger jinx thread than this, I have yet to see it.

Cowboys now lose by 40 and you are to blame. :)

Jinxes do not exist. The things we write on this forum have no impact on the game. If we lose by 40 points, we would have lost by 40 points with or without this post.

Funny, and yet sad that you have to explain that to some people.

Can it be proved or disproved that jinxes do, or do not, exist? If so, please explain.

But...my jinx belief generally include our owner/GM opening his trap. (or appearing on the sideline). So, whatever. :)

**and, no. I don't believe they actually exist outside of the possible, "this kicker has made 48,000 kicks in a row from under 40." <---those seem to hit every time. :)
