A column today about the longtime radio voice of the Dallas Cowboys, Brad Sham:

I’m glad Brad Sham didn’t have to call it first hand.

Nothing about the ’95 championship season felt right, so much so that I avoid revisiting the highlights if I can. Sure, I’ll take the title tick mark, but I’d otherwise just as soon forget. Strange to feel so dismissive about winning a Super Bowl, but I am.

How many of you listen to Brad when you watch the games?

I have not listened to the radio broadcast since I got a DVR years ago. I wish that the DVR had an input for an alternate sound track.

My watching process is to start the game on time. Once the first commercials come on, I go back and re-watch plays long enough for the commercials to finish at which point I fast forward to the next game action.

I do some of that, too. Then I re-synch with the radio broadcast after. It's generally about a 6-7 second difference with HD.
