To this point, just because you're not in the limelight doesn't mean you're not in the music industry. If you're an artist or a musician, you still work in the studio even if you're not putting anything out. She probably has a huge catalog just sitting on a computer server somewhere.
Christina struggled early on, because she was one-dimensional in her selections, but I always liked her and thought she had good synergy with the guys. I liked Shakira, but I didn't like her approach either. Too much scattershooting in her selections.
I think Usher was a good coach, overall. Generally good selections and a pretty decent coach.
Again to be clear when I talk "in the industry" I men actively producing music for sale.
There are millions of people making music of some sort.

Gwen hasn't produced anything of note and she is basically retired.
Blake and Adam produce for themselves and do so at ridiculous pace also working with other stars regularly.
To me Gwen's resume is well out of place. And I absolutely loved her stuff in the 90s.
Yea. Xtina was simply too one dimensional and dated. Big runs and over the top ballads get boring week after week.
But you could tell she cared and wanted them to do well.
She needed to broaden her horizons for her own career as well as her team.
