The Voice

I've been in love with Javier's voice for the past 8 years since I first heard his song "If I never get to heaven." He is a true artist, writes some of the BEST songs:

I haven't watched this, but I'm on board with the concept. In a world that judges everyone by the way they look, it's refreshing that these people are being judged for talent, rather than looks.

I like the show, but I'm mad that there were so many people who have already had recording contracts or have been on a reality competition show.

Fresh blood, people.

I really liked that Austin guy. His look, his voice. I just dig it.
 
I don't understand the show.

The show is titled "The Voice" and the judges are supposed to pick people based on the voice alone, and not looks.

Sounds like a decent concept, only problem is, once the judges buzz that they like a singer they get to turn around and see who they liked.

Once you see a singer, doesn't that kind of kill the concept of the show? It's it supposed to be solely about the voice and not the looks? As soon as you SEE the singer, you throw that in there.

To me they shouldn't show the singers face until they are voted off/win the show.

Eh, I had never heard any of these people so they were new to me. Some people spend years on the cusp, even getting signed and dropped from record labels, and they simply need the opportunity. I don't think you have to just have every day people to make it entertaining.
 
anyone thought that some of Christina's choices this week were weak? Especially those two girls in the end (before the second chance auditions).

I don't know who all of her singers are, but from my POV, seems she has the weakest singers of the bunch.
 
The one girl, Raquel Castro, was the titular character in the movie Jersey Girl.
 
Eh..the contestants are not really great. Maybe two or three so far that stand out to me.

I LOVE the "COACHES though.
I wish AI could borrow them. Switch J.Lo with Christina, get CeeLo in there, and Adam Levine for Tyler.

i think the one on christina's team that stands out IMO is frenchie davis, who was on season 2 of american idol but got kicked off that show.
