JFF is a free agent. Get the tents out and water the elephants, the circus will be performing daily.

It's a non story. No way is the team even considering it. He's a year away from even being considered for a roster on an NFL team and that's if he does everything right.

The Toronto Argonauts have a better chance of signing him.

Nice to see everyone has gotten off that bandwagon. This would've been a 15-page thread by now a month ago.

The source actually said until he straightens his life out.

I think they were trying to be PC with their statement.
But some will take it, as it's still in play...:popcorn:....those A&M fans...:laugh:...

I think RG3 has a better chance being signed....:eek:

If he did make some changes I could see a team pick him up during the season to the practice squad. I think if the Cowboys for some reason don't draft a qb or are not confident in the one they do it could be them. Not really an A&M fan (or any college) although I don't live that far from there (56 miles)

I don't think he would be PS eligible.

I am not for it personally but I would not be surprised, if he does the right things for the next 12 months, that he is signing with us this time next year.

Even more likely if we do not take a QB in the first three rounds this year.

They have an allowance for 2 players to have 2 accrued seasons and Manziel shows to only have 1 season over 6 games.

How is a player eligible for the practice squad?

In order to be eligible for the practice squad, players must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Have no prior Accrued Seasons in the NFL (An accrued season is six or more games on the active roster);
  • Have one prior Accrued Season in which the player was on the 45-man active roster for no more than 8 games;
  • Each club will be permitted to sign a maximum of 2 Practice Squad players who have earned no more than 2 accrued seasons of free agency credit;
  • If served two seasons on a practice squad, are eligible for a third season only if the team has at least 53 players on its active/inactive list for the duration of that player's employment.
  • A player has served one season on the practice squad if he is on the practice squad for at least 6 games. The rule previously required 3 games on the practice squad roster.

...but I didn't mean to shoot. It was the fault of the gun.

Step away from the grill, and put down the fork...
