The way Romo handled Dez was incredible

Romo had a 2-7 playoff/elimination game record with no divisional round wins and some are acting like we had it so much better with him.

Romo had arguably top 3 release and accuracy was never a question im not sure what you're smoking. Romo never had the luxuries Dak had his whole career (o-line, prime zeke, defense) and still found a way to win games. That's a leader.
I did miss four years of Romo playing for the Cowboys because I was in music school for those years, but, yeah for an undrafted player, he was not all that bad like some try and portray him to be. Dak on the other hand...!

He played well in those games except for one or two.

Dak plays like garbage in the playoffs. He's the worst player on the team in those situations.

You aren't really serious, are you?

uh oh. A Tony Romo thread.

I am just gonna stand over here... out of the way... while quietly whistling the music score from The Bridge over the River Kwai...

He didn’t have a great arm. He had deep throws float on him resulting in picks. His completion percentage was lower than Dak’s and he struggled in big games just like Dak has. It’s been the same thing with both QBs. Neither Dak or Romo had a defense. Romo had two great teams in 07 and 2014. Demarco Murray set a franchise record for rushing in 2014. We had a terrific OL that season and still couldn’t get past the divisional round. The 07 team that set a franchise record with 13 wins and 13 Pro Bowlers and went one and done.

Romo played like garbage against Philly in a 44-6 debacle that kept us out of the playoffs in 08. He played like garbage against Minnesota in the playoffs in 09. He played like garbage against Washington in a season finale elimination game in 2012. He had around 9 turnovers in those games. He didn’t play well in the playoff loss to NY in 07. He only completed 50% of his passes and threw a pick in the endzone with the game on the line. Are you serious that he played well in all but one or two of them? lol

Are you really blaming Romo for 2014 lol. The Dez catch, Murray's fumble, and defense not being able to get off the field resulted in that loss. You're blind if you think Romo doesn't at least get to the NFCCG with any of the teams Dak has had - especially 2016. Not even counting all the 12-5 teams.

Some of you keep wanting to make it about Dak vs Romo when we’ve seen the same frustrating issues in big games with both.

Wow, you do either don't understand football at all, or you need to re-watch some of those games.

Playoffs are hard. They're not September game against the Jets. Quarterbacks struggle much of those games. But Dak makes them look like underwater three-dimensional chess with blindfolds on.

Not the same at all. The Cowboys lost playoff games because Dak didn't show up at all. We're not talking about a bad throw or two. We're talking about 95% of those games, he was awful.

Not blaming him for the loss to GB in 2014. He played well in that game but the decision to go for a TD on 4th and 2 with a jump ball wasn’t a good decision. He should have gone for the first down and tried to bleed the clock. There was just over 4 minutes to play and even had Dez scored, Rodgers had plenty of time to beat us in the end. You’re blind if you think Romo would have made a difference against GB in 2016. Dak played a great game and just like what happened in 2014 against the Packers our defense choked.

I’ve been following the NFL for over 50 years. You’re the one who needs to re-watch the games if you honestly believe Romo played well in all but one or two of them. A QB that’s struggling isn’t playing well. Romo struggled badly in several of those games. Go tabulate his turnovers and look at his numbers.

Go waste someone else’s time about Dak…..Zzzzzz!

What was Troy's playoff record when he didn't have great players around him?

Maybe Bridge Over Troubled Waters would be more appropriate?

Romo was 0-1 in the playoffs with a 13 win team that had 13 Pro Bowlers. Not even Aikman had a 13 win team with that many Pro Bowlers. You fans who act like Romo didn’t have any good teams are being ridiculous. You don’t make it to the playoffs if you don’t have some great players around your QB. Romo had some great players around him.

That didn't answer the question.
