The way Romo handled Dez was incredible

I have a different take .......I agree not so much OFF the field but good field general. He's a C-type but without him, I'm not sure Dez plays as long as he did. He knew Dez's weaknesses as a route runner. I'm pretty sure he changed lots of plays from the sideline which put Dez at a disadvantage. This is why Dez struggled once Dak began as the starter.........running the correct route were critical.

Romo to a T
Yes, there is a Type C personality, which is characterized by traits like being analytical, detail-oriented, and conflict-avoidant. People with a Type C personality may also be quiet, introverted, and have trouble expressing their emotions.
Sure Romo made some ok receivers stars, Austin , crayton, laurent robinson etc.

The Pro Bowl voting has been the same for many years and 13 players in the Pro Bowl was an NFL record. Despite some being replacements. The Cowboys had more Pro Bowlers in 07 than the two SB teams combined that season. That 07 team going one and done to a Giants team they beat twice that season was the ultimate failure for any Cowboys team. That was a legit SB caliber team that didn’t even get past the wildcard round.
I didn’t ask for an explanation of pro bowl votes relative to other teams that year. A more relevant example in response to my question, if you were being honest, would be to compare all pros on those 2 SB teams combined as compared to the Cowboys?

Like I said, do first team all-pros, like the 3 Dak had on his line for multiple years and the 2007 Cowboys.
Facts are, thr Cowboys, when they win have multiple pro-bowlers based on popularity.. considering America’s most popular team was finally relevant again, 13 pro-bowlers is no surprise. Like I said, fans can vote multiple times.. they want to see players they love again..

Just keep looking for ways to downplay how good the 07 team was to prop Romo and crap on Dak. The 2016 team was 4-12 the previous season and 9-7 in 2017. The 2016 team was a fluke because of how well Dak and Zeke played. We had two rookies who caught everyone by surprise and it elevated the team that season.
Cute, but Zeke was suspended in 2017 for 6 games. How did Dak do when he wasn’t there? You aren’t proving the point you think you are..

Meh... look no further than Troy Aikman if you want to know about the last franchise QB who handled his prima donnas. Romo was too busy making out with Witten in Cabo to demand TO and Dez play to their fullest. Don't even get me started on 'nice guy' Dak.

I'm a little shocked at your take on Romo. You've always seemed reasonable and fair.

Many questioned Romo’s arm talent and leadership.
Not sure what you are referring to on arm talent. When he first came into the league, he admits his technique was flawed & he corrected. He had plenty of arm talent. Not Elway but more than P Manning and countless other high level QB's.

Leadership is a subjective term to begin with, plus we as fans, have very limited information to form any kind of opinion much less conclusion. What we could see though was a QB who was tough & gave the game everything he had. I much prefer that than any rah-rah speech or psuedo bravado off the field.

I’m not wasting my time with this. The bottom line is the Romo years weren’t any better than the Dak years have been…fact!

I’ve proven my point multiple times. By 2021 Zeke was pretty much done and Dak still won 12 games. We destroyed Tom Brady and the Bucs on the road in the playoffs and Zeke only rushed for 27 yards. That was the Cowboys first road playoff win in 30 years. Dak won 12 games in 2023 without Zeke. We haven’t had a great running game in years and Dak led the Cowboys to the playoffs three straight years with 12 win seasons. The Cowboys hadn’t done that since their championship years in the 90s. I keep proving my point that the Romo years weren’t any better than the Dak years. Those fans who keep spinning we had it better with Romo are being ridiculous.
