The way Romo handled Dez was incredible

The VAST majority of the blame for the past thirty plus years of mediocrity to respectability and NO MORE belongs with the Jones boys.

lol..facts have no place in this argument....because if thats true then i cant argue who was better despite what history tells us really happened and how similar they are..lol.."You either like my guy better or your an idoit!" its the zone way...

I agree with your assessment. It is a shame we never won w Romo, but I feel exactly the same way about Dak. Dak’s rookie season going 13-3 only to watch the defense collapse on 4th and 25 was a gut punch.
Did you watch the first half of that game?

And did you see that same awful Packers team get curb-stomped the next week by a real team?

its been a while since we had a "Who lost better" Romo/Dak thread been like 5 days im guessing.

I don't think we ever saw the best from Dez. JG kept him glued to the sideline running nine routes, whereas a smart OC would have gave him some quick hitters inside where he could take one step and go.
He couldn't be trusted with read routes, so Romo would communicate with him at the line to make those changes.

Dak couldn't do that nor could he throw high-point and back shoulder accurately, so Dezc became fairly useless.

Dez became useless after his Achilles blew out. His game was built on top-end explosion and he got sapped of that.

it is interesting how Romo was able to get the best out of both Dez and TO

but then certain morons claim he had no leadership skills
but then they are the same guys all over Daks supposed leadership skills
You can possibly make a case for Dez (although he balled out his rookie season with Jon Kitna) but to say he got the best out of TO you’d have to be on drugs.

Side note: I love how folks just glance over the fact that Dez literally energized the entire team and single handed brought us back in that 2016 playoff game.

Yes to both questions. I don’t ever miss a Cowboys game. We haven’t been a serious contender for decades but there have been a few “fools gold” seasons where I thought we might finally win a div round playoff game.
