I'm easy to please....i'll take the win no matter how many points. But it does concern me that Dallas does not come out fast when given an extended time off. Come out flat and sleep walking most times. Luckily the Colts aren't great and a slow start might still beat them, but rather not take any chances. The more they stay in the game, the more confidence they'll get and the more desperate Dallas and KM will be.

Indiana is going to run Dallas out of their own home stadium and it will be embarrassing and Nick Siriani/Lurie/EDP/Fetterman will all have a good laugh at Jerruh's expense

After winning two games in four days the Cowboys are looking pretty good right now and it looks like they're getting more organized on offense which is a good sign. On the other hand the Cowboys can't help themselves when it comes to penalties (yup they lead the league AGAIN) as a matter of fact it's gotten so bad that I'm used to it now and expect at least 10 a game. They also did a really good job of shutting down two of the best running backs in the league in back to back weeks. The Colts have some decent stats when it comes to stopping the run and not allowing receivers to go off but Matt Ryan and company will definitely have their hands full this week with the Cowboy's very impressive rush defense. Now I really don't think that this will be a blow out like many others but I think the Cowboys will win because they're just the better team plus Dak to Lamb is a pretty good combo and the two headed monster in the backfield just takes over.

Cowboys 24
Colts 20

I am usually never right about predictions. But the game here is to put up points. Lots of points. The Colts do not have the means to keep up if you make this a shoot-out they are competing to stay in.

If Dallas puts them down 14 early, their passing game will be in trouble, because Micah and company will be taking turns stomping a mud hole in Matt Ryan's liver.

Penalties are a killer. There are only so many great plays to be made in a game and when you have bring it back and go backwards it hurts and kills momentum and makes offense more predictable because now you have a longer distance to go.

And what really gets me is pre snap penalties. Aligning wrong. Jumping. Illegal movement. Just plain stupid.
Penalties are a killer, and its been going on for years. They will cost you big games and playoff games. I agree the pre-snap ones are just plain stupid. I don't think I ever saw so many false start penalties called on an offense who was playing at home before in my life - wow that was crazy stupid. The ones they are good at too are the ones on defense where they get a stop on third down, but the penalty gives the other team an automatic first down and a fresh set of downs and keeps the D on the field when they should be on the sidelines - those ones really hurt and drive me crazy. It seems we just have to live with them, that they are just part of the deal. Just have to hope they don't come at a real bad time and don't cost you in your biggest game of the year - but they usually do.

We are the Cowboys. Everyone is going to give us their best shot. My biggest worry is our OC continuing to think he's smarter than everyone by trying to be cute instead of just calling a solid game. Those gadget plays are going to come back and haunt us.

Well...I have some good news.

The rest of the NFL universe doesn't circle the calendar when we're on their schedule, any more than any other team. Luckily for us, that mystique ur describing died off a couple decades ago. We've been "just another team" since then, to everybody outside the cowboy fanbase.

Kinda like how David Hasselhoff still thinks everyone is fascinated by him... but that's just in his own head. It's not reality. Or in football terms, the Raiders. We are the Raiders of the NFC (just without their playoff success this millennium). The Raiders too prance around like it was 1975. But do we as Cowboy fans think of them that way? Nope! So we can drop the yoke of thinking everyone is thinking of us or, or, WORRIED about us. They simply don't care, over and above any other team.

But this is a GOOD thing. Teams don't get up for us, any more than the Bears , Falcons, or Bengals (with exception of our division rivals). So hopefully this cheers u up, as we are NOT having to beat everyone's A game.

IMHO, we actually have to overcome THREE things: 1)Cutesy gadget plays by our OC. 2)We get everyone’s best shot. 3)We’re watched more closely than most teams.

That’s all in addition to the normal problems every team has: execution, injury, and circumstance.

I disagree. I think we STILL get a little extra something from other teams, because they resent us—the hype, the ratings, the nickname, the Forbes thing, etc., etc.—all made worse because we haven’t sniffed a Lombardi in 27 years!

Well...again...I think that's subconscious wishfull thinking on ur part. The Raiders too feel that way...they too cling to the Just Win Baby from decades ago, and also think everyone is in awe of the great Raider tradition.

THEY think that, and are convinced the outside world does too. You can't convince them otherwise... and I think that's because they need to feel they're part of something special other fans don't experience....even if it actually helps the team that nobody cares about them anymore. Even the announcers play into it...and their fans lap it up and believe it, because they need to believe it.

So I guess it's nice to believe in our own heads that the rest of the football world still thinks we're the cool kid in class and is fascinated with us, bur it's even nicer that in reality, nobody cares, which is to our advantage.

Don’t say “our” like you’re a Dallas fan. If you were, you wouldn’t be ignoring the obvious point I’ve been making. It’s NOT because the rest of the world thinks we’re the cool kids. It’s because they resent the hype and the attention our past history still garners us. Period. But I’m done trying to make my point with you, because your goal seems to be simply aggravating real Cowboy fans.
