The way that I see it

LOL, I cringe every time he drops back. But hey, there are plenty of backups that are worse.
Funny stuff as now you cringe?
What have you been seeing since 2016 and that cringe feeling didn't engulf your being? :muttley:

The Cowboys continue to play hard even though their season is pretty much over. They beat up the Panthers last week in a game where many including myself thought that the Cowboys would lose. The one thing that the Cowboys continue to lose each week are players and I have never seen anything like this since I've starting watching Cowboys football many many years ago. So now they play the Buccaneers who are in the playoff race themselves and really need this win as well the Cowboys are playing for pride and a mid range draft pick. The Buccaneers are a very underrated bunch who can score and play defense. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was offensive player of the week last week and he'll put a lot of pressure on the Cowboys defense. The Cowboys on the other hand are using Rico Dowdle more and more each week and they are having a lot of success doing it plus the defense is getting sacks and turnovers. So how do I see this game playing out Sunday night, I just think that the Buccaneers really need this game and it should be competitive but I like the Bucs because the Cowboys are extremely undisciplined when it comes to getting penalties and you don't beat good teams by being stupid.

Bucs 30
Cowboys 20
Who gives a rats *** about this game or the Cowboys.

Two of three to end the season at 8-9 gives MM ammo for a 3 yr extension and I know fans will scream . It’s a tough road though all three of these opponents are headed for or fighting to get into the playoffs .

A wonderful ending to this disappointing year is for the Commanders needing a win in Dallas to get into the playoffs . And a Dallas win of course .

And the FO if they have a semblance of a brain cell.

You want Payton Manning or Ryan Leaf? Yeah, doesn't matter where you pick, not at all.
That's my point. You can have the #1 or #2 pick and you could end up with HOFer or biggest bust...since it's not guaranteed, might as well play to win and let the draft pick fall where you deserve to be. I never subscribe to lose to get a better draft pick...that's a lower mentality.

No one will scream. I think we have all come to accept that Jerry doesn't give a damn what the fans think or want. If the fans scream 'fire MM' he will do the opposite. Fans screamed 'let Dak play out his contract and earn an extension', and what did Jerry do?

Well, it was sort of like watching Kirk Cousins play. A decent passer, but never could make his team a serious contender.

I hear you . Jerry doesn’t care as long as the stadium is full and that TV $$ pours in.

Kirk played on a lot of very bad rosters while Prestrash enjoyed the wealth of the rosters we wasted around him.
Kirk is overall a better QB than Prestrash but that again in itself is not saying much as they are both tier 3 QB.

The Bucs have the better QB even if Dak were playing the Bucs should win.

A win with the three remaining teams would be over achieving . 6-11 is an ugly record in yr 5 to get a contact extension when you started 5 yrs ago at 6-10 in the 16 game schedule format .

(In bold^^^): They should be, especially if they plan on being back with this team next season. Players know where they need help, and they also know the higher you draft, the higher quality of a player you can draft (or be able to trade down to get more draft picks...which are needed).

Too bad today's players are like today's coaches......all selfish who only care about their paychecks.
Wait, so now the players are selfish for trying to win on Sundays?

What are they winning for this late in the season when they have no chance of making the playoffs? Why weren't they trying to win when they went on a 5 game losing streak earlier in the season?

Stats alone can sometimes get a QB paid over and over again. How many QBs get their 3rd market value contract without ever being a contender for a championship? I know it's not always the QBs fault. But we had some good teams. You'd think just by chance alone you'd have one stand out year.

They were trying. But even more of our best players were missing then. Plus it's a long season -- every team (except maybe the Chiefs) goes through ups and downs.

I can see the argument if you want management to tank. But I've never heard the players on the field being called selfish for trying to win games when they're actually on the field.

The higher your draft picks in every round the better chance of picking better players. This is common sense!

I hope we lose 3 competitive games to end the season and get a 8-11 pick.
I guess you never heard of Tom Brady.
