The first FG attempt by Gramatica, I thought, "Oh, man, another Vanderchoke". Watching that last, winning field goal go over the MIDDLE of the cross bars, I thought to myself, "Hey, man, maybe we just found our kicker!". I know I might be getting too excited too soon, but the guy made a 46 yd. FG when the game was on the line. That's what we have been looking for for the last several years.
We already have a Pro-Bowl quality punter. If Gramatica can get into a groove, & build on the confidence this winning kick can bring, it could go a long way in solving our kicking game problems. To relieve the head coach of the worry of whether he can trust his kicker or not is bigger than most of us realize. I'm sure BP is thinking to himself, "If this guy keeps kicking like this, a big load will be lifted off of my shoulders".
I just hope this guy is the answer. With the giddiness Romo has brought to this team, Gramatica might have brought some long needed stability in ST. These two men may go a long way in helping this team win the Super Bowl.
