Teams do their homework. Everybody knows what other teams need. They know which players they like. This isn't new or exclusive to the cowboys.

I think it's even money we don't take a CB until Round 3. Could be a safety or someone who's dropping like a fly if they keep falling (McDowell, Lamp, Robinson).

Stephen did say there were guys who could help us sprinkled all over. I'll be surprised if we don't get a CB this round, but not shocked. If we were talking to McCourty last week, it was probably for an eventuality where we didn't bring in another guy in the first 2-3 rounds for whatever reason. We definitely need a CB, but we're not married to getting him today. Though were about as close to being married to it as you can be without actually being married. It's a common-law need at this point.

I believe the Cowboys will try to trade up in the second round too.......Cowboy will receive probably three or four compensatory picks for next years draft for free agents lost this year so I can see them giving up a couple of picks next year to move up this year...

Meh.

This is a unique draft class because it's so over-stocked with DB's.

That's why teams traded up for these QB's even though they are extremely unproven. They are the only chances for a franchise QB and if they need a CB or S, they can wait until the other part of the draft.

In fact, that's why so many DB's weren't take early on...teams knew they could get them later on. But a big time WR like John Ross? Might be a problem.

I remember so many mocks last year had Dak Prescott going to the Cowboys. Pretty much everyone knew the Cowboys were interested in Prescott. What I find amazing is that even with every team knowing the Cowboy Prescott interest, no team jumped ahead and took him.

The Cowboys are a pretty open book when it comes to the draft. Basically, they have been taking those players who come in for a visit. Jerry is brutally honest about most things Cowboys, including the draft, FAs, present personnel, coaches, etc. And I am guessing that Jerry doesn't really care if the Cowboys draft board gets published after the draft. The other GMs are probably dead set against releasing their draft boards for one reason only. They are afraid of getting fired if their draft boards stink.

I wish all teams would release their draft boards after the draft is over. Good data for the fans. The game is for the fans.
