I haven't had the chance to watch this game -but realize the Cowboys beat the Cleveland Browns in OT. Are you of the opinion that they are a good team that has caught a number of bad breaks, or a team that just knows how to scrap even when having a relative lack of talent.

Just curious as I know next to nothing about them...but I realize they are on a 3 game win streak and have nothing to lose right now - which can make an average team dangerous.

Watch the game.

They beat the Bengals in regulation. It was pretty good clockwork this time.

And, it's a two game winning streak.

And, yes, the Cowboys are average IMO.

Actually. Just delete this thread, check a Cowboys win lose results and read some actual news on the team to figure things out.

Read the post.
He's asking about the Cleveland Browns and what you guys think of them.
They have a 3 game win streak. Maybe he's a Skins fan.

The Browns are scrappy, but they still suck. The Cowboys just sucked a little bit less on that day.

I'm a Skins fan - just was curious as to your impressions of the Browns game. We play them this week.

I know both the Skins and Cowboys both can't make the playoffs - and the Giants don't look like they are about to fold (though I pray they will).

Both the Skins and Cowboys showed some heart and will to win this past weekend - which I respect because in recent years its been questionable on both teams. I actually watched the end of the Bengals game (was at a sports bar moving between screens).

The Browns are a tough team. Not a good team, but they play hard and have some nice young talent for the future.

They've pretty much been in every game they've played this year.

They have some good young talent, but haven't figured out how to put it together yet. I expect them to be good in future years, but they aren't now.

They've won a few lately because they've played some awful teams -- KC and Oakland, though they did win that first Pitt game when they started Batch.

If you had RG3 at full strength, I think you'd win. If not, it'll be tough. Watch out for Josh Gordon.

They've won 3 straight and 5 on the year. They aren't as bad as a lot of the rest of the AFC. They might be the best 5-8 team right now, and they might also be better than the 6-7 Jets. They don't completely suck. They are closer to average or middle of the pack in the AFC. They won't make the playoffs this year but the AFC playoffs have already been set for a couple weeks.

Cleveland is a tough team, they have played almost everyone very hard only to come up short. Not a team to take lightly.

I've noticed that...I also read that they've had 72 rookie starts. The next closest is Indianapolis. So the growth potential is huge. We'd be a statement win for them after beating the Giants on national TV. This is the type of game in years past we tend to lose.

Totally agree about RGIII. Not having him or him playing at less than 100 percent means they likely stack the run against Morris. Force 3rd and longs and our OL to pass block (which is where they are weak).

Definitely worried. I'm enjoying this ride/win streak and don't want it to end. Its alot less anxiety-producing when your team is just playing for pride in December but being in the middle of a 3-pronged division chase is something I wouldn't trade for anything right now.

The Bears are really the only team of those that are 8-5 that seem to be on a downward curve right now. If the Giants don't stumble, they may be the only way in for the Skins/Cowboys.

They're a far better team than their record indicates. Just not enough talent there on offense yet.

They are big and physical on defense.

they have two of the biggest players in the league inside playing well.

seems watching them a bunch this year they have been in or winning most of there games and then they have a turn over a big mistake.

they were beating Baltimore and ny until a bad turnover swung the momentum and they couldn't get back.

They pass protect as well as anyone and weeden doesn't get hit.

I wish the browns and bills would become good teams again, I cant tell everyone how much I miss watching post season games in those stadiums and in those climates.

the unknown factor is the health of RG3, without him i would say it will be very tough to go in there and beat them, i saw where the Skins were about a 7 point dog, take that for what its worth.

I think it's going to be tough with RG3. That Browns team is very pesky and they aren't afraid of any team they play at this point. Washington to me is playing above their heads and they will come back down. I won't be surprised if it happens in this game.

One more thing, Stryker, we got lucky that Joe Haden pulled a muscle in practice that week and didn't play against us. He's one of the better corners around and are a much better team with him.

The Browns are not a pushover. If they get a te and Dwayne Bowe in Fa they should make the playoffs next year. Richardson is a poor mans Adrian Peterson. They're a scrappy bunch. Wouldn't we love to have Phil Taylor? HahA

I think that's what we want to believe because it's sort of conventional wisdom, but the Browns flat out manhandled us in the trenches that game.

with a healthy RG3 or without...the Commanders are likely to lose this game. Look at how the other AFC North teams have played the Skins. Steelers destroyed. Bengals were up by like 20 on them at one point. The Ravens did not beat the Skins...but not sure the Skins beat the Ravens if they were not down Ray, Suggs and I want to say BOTH starting CBs. The AFC North plays a brand of football that every coach should watch a tape of if they want to defend this offense the Skins are running.

Having lived in NE Ohio for a bit, I have huge respect for Browns fans. Those guys are old-school, and hard core.

I have to admit, watching that Browns game, I was jealous of much of what they have going on there. The OL is enviable, Richardson is the real deal (still a dumb pick that high, but, whatever). Those WRs are going to be pretty good in a year or two. That defense was impressive, even without Haden.

I don't love Weeden (actually, I liked him fine but they took him way too early), but he's serviceable. Shurmur is a coach I think deserves a bit more time to get his program in place and see what happens. That's a team that could be contending if they can just get out of their own way in some of these games. They very easily could have beat us, that's for sure.

The Bengals didn't exactly shut our offense down - though we did get behind early and became one dimensional in that sense having to throw the ball.

We dropped ALOT of passes in the Steelers game...though they did manhandle us in the trenches for sure.
