So, I watch the 1st season, and I thought it was a 7/10 for me. I started the 2nd season today, and the 1st episode of season 2, just sucks. Does this get better?

Season 2 is one of the best, but it definitely starts out slow. They all do, but Season 2 was definitely a tough one for me to start as well.

After season 2 its really all about them. It only strays in season 2 to the greeks. So in season 2 there are a few things that happen to the black guys you need to see.

Season 2 is excellent. It paints a different, but important picture to the drug game. Once you get to season 4, you will appreciate season 2 even more because of where the story went. Season 1 was more like an introduction to some of the main characters and felt like they were trying to appease HBO with more of a standard crime drama show. After season 1, it really takes off in so many brilliant directions.

Im going to watch it for a 3rd time and watch season 2. I realized season 2 played at huge role by season 4 but I couldnt/didnt want to stick with that season 2 story.

Don't listen to this guy. Season 2 was awesome. The whole show was/is awesome. The best in the history of television IMO.

To the OP, the show isn't for everyone so if you haven't liked it by now I doubt you ever will.

Season 2 started off "odd" and different but time it was over I really enjoyed it. Stick with it, it gets really good this season and definitely the next ones.

I'm in the same boat but, I like Season 2 so far. It does start off slow and I am 4 episodes into right now.
